Sabrina Washington has pulled the plug on her forthcoming solo tour in a dramatic U-turn following the headline-grabbing fallout surrounding Mis-Teeq.
The singer announced the trek just days after the group’s sold-out 25th anniversary reunion concert at London’s OVO Arena Wembley, with an accompanying release declaring that there would be no further Mis-Teeq dates or new music.
What followed was a whirlwind of very public confusion, conflicting accounts, and questions about what the trio had actually agreed.
Now, Washington has made perhaps the biggest switch of all: the solo tour is cancelled and she says she has heard the calls for Mis-Teeq to continue.

The striking reversal arrives just over a week after Washington announced the ‘A One Night Stand Just Ain’t Enough Tour’, a five-date 2027 trek that was set to celebrate 25 years of music while featuring Mis-Teeq classics and her solo material.
In an extensive statement, Washington said she had been reading the comments, listening to supporters, and reflecting on the reaction to everything that has unfolded.
And, according to the 47-year-old, one message rang especially loud.

“I have been paying close attention to what people have been saying, reading the comments and trying to understand what you genuinely want to see from me.
And one thing has come through very clearly: there is a strong desire to see the three of us perform Mis-Teeq’s greatest hits together again.”
Washington stressed that she appreciates the support she has received as a solo performer, including when incorporating Mis-Teeq songs into her own shows.
However, the singer says the strength of feeling around seeing herself, Alesha Dixon, and Su-Elise Nash together again ultimately changed her thinking.
“Ultimately, I don’t want to push ahead with a solo tour when I know there is such a strong feeling among fans about seeing Mis-Teeq together again. So, with a heavy heart, I have decided that the right thing for me is to cancel the tour”
She added:
“This is not a decision I have taken lightly. But for me, the fans have to come first.”
For those who already purchased tickets, Washington offered a direct apology, particularly to supporters who had booked travel or planned to attend from overseas.
She said arrangements surrounding the cancelled concerts and refunds will be communicated directly.
The performer also explained why it took several days for her to publicly address the mounting situation, revealing there had been “a lot of conversations and back-and-forth behind the scenes” while she worked through what to do next.

Of course, the tour cancellation is only one component of Washington’s mammoth statement.
She also sought to clarify the sequence of events that transformed Mis-Teeq’s celebratory comeback into a very public tug of war.
As reported, hours after Washington’s solo tour and the purported split were announced, Nash publicly challenged the news.
Nash revealed that, as far as she understood, the group still had several major 2027 offers under consideration, including festival appearances and the possibility of taking their reunion show regional.
Washington subsequently appeared on ‘Good Morning Britain’ and denied personally announcing that Mis-Teeq had split.
She also insisted she had not closed the door on working with Dixon and Nash again.
Washington now says she understands why her comments during that interview created further confusion.
She explained:
“When they referred to a press release saying “Mis-Teeq split”, I immediately responded that this was “wrong” and that I had not done a press release. What I was responding to was the suggestion that I had announced that Mis-Teeq had split, which was not what I understood had been communicated.”
Looking back, I can see that I didn’t explain that clearly enough.
Washington said a press release had indeed been issued in relation to her solo shows, but maintained that she had not understood it as a declaration that Mis-Teeq had permanently split.
Significantly, she also confirms that conversations and proposals surrounding further Mis-Teeq performances had taken place after Wembley.
However, Washington says nothing had been fully “agreed, confirmed or finalised” between all three members.
She also revealed there had been opportunities for the group to perform together in the run-up to Wembley that did not ultimately come together.
The singer maintains that when she told GMB “nothing else was planned,” she was attempting to explain that there were no confirmed Mis-Teeq commitments in place, rather than suggesting that the door had been permanently closed.
There is also fresh insight into how the communication breakdown seemingly occurred.
Washington says she had already informed the group’s management that she planned to return to her own live shows before anything further was proposed for Mis-Teeq.
Shortly afterwards, she says, another offer for group shows arrived.
Washington believed her solo activity and the possibility of future Mis-Teeq performances could co-exist.
However, she now acknowledges:
“I now understand that my plans may not have been fully communicated to Alesha and Su-Elise before the announcement.
Looking back, I could have shared more detail with management and spoken to the girls directly beforehand, and for that I am sorry.”
Indeed, Washington explicitly accepts responsibility for her role in the muddle, saying “things were not communicated clearly enough.”
She also expressed regret that the situation left some with the impression that she had abruptly made a decision about Mis-Teeq without consideration for Dixon, Nash, or the group’s supporters.
And as for whether another reunion is still possible?
Washington could scarcely be clearer.
“I have never closed the door on Mis-Teeq. I said on GMB, and I want to say again: I would never say no to another Mis-Teeq show.
If the right opportunity came along and the three of us all wanted to do it, I would absolutely be open to that.”
It’s a notable shift in complexion from where matters stood immediately following the solo tour announcement.
After all, 2026 started with reports that Mis-Teeq were plotting a 25th anniversary return. Months later, the ladies officially announced their huge ‘One Night Stand’ reunion concert before blazing the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ stage with their first performance together in 22 years.
The comeback momentum continued at Capital’s Summertime Ball, where the trio spoke exclusively with That Grape Juice about their reunion, Wembley, and even entertained the prospect of new Mis-Teeq music.
Then came Wembley, the solo tour, the “split” announcement, Nash’s rebuttal, and Washington’s GMB appearance.
Now, the very solo tour that sparked the seismic fallout has been scrapped.
Still, Washington stressed that cancelling the concerts does not mean abandoning her individual career.
She revealed that she has been back in the studio recording fresh solo tracks and believes the material will appeal both to longtime Mis-Teeq supporters and those who have followed her independently.
“I have been working on new solo material and have already been spending time in the studio, laying down some fresh new tracks. I am genuinely excited about what we are creating, and I hope that when the time is right, I will be able to share that music with you.”
Ultimately, no new Mis-Teeq show has been confirmed and Washington makes clear that any future activity would need all three ladies to want to move forward together.
But after one of the most dramatic weeks in the group’s history, it will be interesting to see how – if at all – her position has evolved within the camp.
The solo tour is off. She has apologized for her part in the communication breakdown. And Washington says she hopes the decision demonstrates that she has listened to those calling to see Mis-Teeq together again.
Quite the turn of events.
Time will tell what’s to come. But, we can say, with certainty, we’d love to see more Mis-Teeq!
