Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland are giving back to their hometown in a big way.

The duo, along with Mama Tina Knowles, Blue Ivy, and Rumi, returned to where it all started, Houston, Texas, to celebrate the opening of the Knowles-Rowland House.
The Grammy-winning singers attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the $8.4 million housing initiative developed in partnership with Bread of Life, Inc. and their home church, St. John’s Downtown Church.
The initiative aims to combat homelessness by providing permanent housing for Houstonians. During the ceremony, Beyoncé and Kelly reflected on their love for their church home and how their pastor’s prayers helped them along their journeys.
Beyoncé also reminisced about being baptized at the same church where she is now giving back to her community.

The Knowles-Rowland House will provide 31 housing units for people experiencing homelessness. In addition to housing, Bread of Life, Inc. and St. John’s Downtown Church will continue their mission of supporting the community by offering services such as treatment and counseling.
Both Beyonce and Kelly don’t get the knowledge and efforts that they so put back into the community from their own pockets and the joy and love that they always spread. they do from their hearts and not oppressed. That’s why they are always blessed.
