Three years after Quavo saw his sophomore solo album ‘Rocket Power‘ become the lowest-charting studio effort of his career (including time as part of the hitmaking Hip-Hop trio Migos), the GRAMMY-nominated emcee has bested his personal record with the abysmal opening of that project’s ill-fated follow-up: the October 2-released ‘QROMELIFE.’
Days after Quavo clapped back at a fan over industry analysts’ predictions that ‘QROMELIFE’ would open to a low sales sum, Billboard has confirmed that projection as true.
Despite boasting Pharrell Williams as its executive producer and a who’s who of guest stars including Justin Timberlake, Yung Miami, Tyler, the Creator, A$AP Rocky, T.I., Lil Baby, and his Migos groupmate Offset, the LP premiered at #103 on the updated Billboard 200 thanks to reported sales of 13,000 units.
Home to singles ‘Haavin,’ ‘House Music,’ ‘Backwards,’ and ‘Trance (Walk It Down),’ the 14-track effort comes as his first solo offering since 2023’s ‘Rocket Power’ debuted at #18 on the all-genre chart.
The ‘QROMELIFE’ opening not only comes as the lowest first-week sales of Quavo’s total career but also his lowest debut on the all-genre chart to date.
He’s not the only one who marked personal milestones on the Billboard 200 this week, however. Click here to see who else got some headline-making action on the chart.
