Britney Spears is showering Janet Jackson with praise once again, this time declaring that the music legend has “always been God” to her.
The Pop Princess poured out her admiration in a heartfelt new tribute, reflecting on the profound impact the ‘Rhythm Nation’ icon had on her growing up.
And it’s far from the first time Britney has given Ms. Jackson her flowers.

Taking to Instagram, the 44-year-old recalled being mesmerized by Janet’s music videos at just 13 years old.
Reflecting on Jackson’s mysterious allure, angelic vocals, and effortless sensuality, Spears wrote:
“She’s not trying to be sexy … She just is … She can’t help it … She has always been God to me. She’s not just a singer, she is an entertainer in people’s eyes.”
The ‘Toxic’ performer continued:
“I was so young, and she spoke to my heart and soul like no one else … I have no idea why I’m writing this, but I do believe people like her are here for a reason … Just her smile alone changed the world forever …”
Britney concluded by affectionately crowning Janet her “girl crush” for October.
The praise echoes a previous tribute Spears shared in 2024, in which she thanked the superstar for keeping her “dreams and heart alive” and vowed to look up to her for the rest of her life.
The singer has also paid homage to Janet through dance tributes to classics such as ‘All Nite (Don’t Stop)’ and ‘That’s the Way Love Goes.’
The latest salute comes as Jackson prepares to present Missy Elliott with the Icon Award at the October 22 Gala of the Stars.
