That Grape Juice Interviews Kelly Rowland – The Trailer

As many of you know, I interviewed R&B star Kelly Rowland this past Thursday in Central London. In what was an awesome interview, if I must say so myself, Kelly spoke very candidly about the ups and downs she’s experienced the in music industry, the re-release of ‘Ms. Kelly’, as well as the direction of her third album. I anticipate having the full transcribed interview posted on the site on Tuesday / Wednesday. It’ll definitely be worth the wait, as a lot of your questions will be answered.

In the meanwhile, UK visitors, do be sure to buy Kelly’s hit single ‘Work’ which is released tomorrow – January 28th.

    OMG This looks hilarious Sam, can’t wait to see the whole thing, I love this girl!

    I think I’ma go into Asda and get it tomorrow, even though I bought (and loved) “Ms. Kelly” I want to give her the support she deserves, since people and her damn record label haven’t! Kelly rocking the UK! Woo!

    Wow! That looks totally great. She was right … it seems as if you picked some great questions. I hope she gave a US release date for that re-release! Can’t wait to see the rest.

    Kelly knows where her support lies, she has a massive following in the UK, we seem to appreciate her talent… Can’t wait to see the video for Comeback, it’s my favourite joint from her album, great energy to it… Well done Sam, doing big things!

    I agree with Kelly that alot of people did not hear the album, view album sales, but the album was really good and it was not fair to Kelly. I blame it all on the DC3 fans because if you were a fan of DC3, the why aren;t you a fan of Kelly? It doesen’t makes sense to me that Kelly only sold 82,000 copies when DC3 was always number one when their album dropped.

    I’m a Kelly Fan, She’s very sweet, but not very smart. Why does she think no one new she had an Album comming out??? Little to no Promotion, that’s why. Duh. Those who say she needs to switch labels or at least management aren’t haters, they are supports. I don’t she’ll get the support she needs as long as she stays with the knowles bunch. Her career is headed overseas like Amerie, if she doesn’t wake up soon

    Okay to the few people who said Kelly wasn’t smart and that she needs to get away from the Knowles’. First off, Kelly knows what she’s doing. She’s a smart woman and she’s right. A lot of my friends didn’t know until after it came out. That’s why I post bulletins and send out messages to my close friends when I know something for a fact about Kelly releasing anything. Mathew Knowles is not to blame, her record label did not support her the way that they should have. I don’t know Kelly on a personal level but I wish I did. Like I said though, she knows what she is doing. ALL YOU KELLY ROWLAND FANS IF YOU HAVE A MYSPACE ADD THIS FAN PAGE I SET UP MYSPACE.COM/MSKELLYFANS

    Earlier someone said that most fans who claim to be DC3 fans aren’t really and I agree with that. You guys support maybe one of them but not all three. (And I’m not talking about only supporting Beyonce because some of you only support Michelle, some Beyonce & some Kelly) You guys can call yourself DC1 or DC2 fans but not DC3 fans.

    Kelly’s entire album is something you can listen to from beginning to end and not get sick of it. Simply Deep is great as well & I still listen to that album as well. I will be sure to pick up a Re-Release of Ms. Kelly when it comes out in the U.S. and anything else my girl Kelly releases because the girl is on fire. She’s not letting anyone bring her down because she’s been through so much that she can handle it. But some comments I’ve seen online are way over the top & ya’all wrong for that but I’m not going to say what they were. Kelly is the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen and she has the talent to back that up. Kelly, Beyonce, Michelle & Solange are gonna take over the music industry so ya’all better watch out. All four of those ladies get hated on by somebody but ya’all haters don’t stop they success do you. Ya’all hated on Beyonce’s B’Day and she kept on selling millions. Ya’all hated on Kelly she still releasing because she knows she has loyal fans out there. Ya’all hated on Solange and she ready for her sophomore release & Michelle coming back too. So get ya’alls shine on Kelly, Beyonce, Michelle & Solange.

    I have been a Kelly Rowland supporter since the very beginning. When she was apart of Destiny’s Child,she was the one I noticed first,she stood out to me (even though Beyonce sang most of the leads). When the group line-up changed,I was O.K. because my favorite D.C. girl (Kelly) was still there. When the girls became a trio I was happy to see all three getting vocal shine (although Beyonce still had to dominate in that area). When the girls broke away from one another briefly to record solo projects I supported all three (especially Kelly). I always look foward to what Kelly does and I BUY albums. I don’t download or burn music. I never have. I never will. However,I recently heard Kelly make a comment about U.S. fans (although I do not call myself a fan,I’m a supporter). She said that U.S. fans are finicky and disloyal; AND SHE’S ABSOLUTELY RIGHT;but I live here in the U.S. and I have been an outstanding supporter. Kelly seems to be giving up on the U.S. altogether,but what about those of us who have been WAITING on her projects,WAITING on her videos,WAITING on her tour, WAITING on her re-release;the key word is WAITING, patiently,only to be dissapointed half the time. Still, we wait for and even look foward to what she’s planning next. How dare she give up on people who haven’t given up on her. I am a U.S. resident,and I was personally offended by that comment. Kelly Rowland is one of the only young artist that I’m checking for,and I feel like pretty soon I wont even have access to her music because she seems to think her U.K. audience is better than her U.S. audience. It saddens me that we may not even get a re-release and if I want to see or hear about new music or new videos from Kelly I have to search the net. Kelly should consider her supporters in the states as well as over seas.
