This week will see old foes/contemporary rivals Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez hit Pop’s shores with brand new music, lifted from their respective new albums.

In teaching their younger chart staples a thing or two in how to promote a release, the ladies’ quest for commercial relevancy in today’s market has seen them craft campaigns worthy of their celebrity and their stock as entertainers.

In short, they’re out for blood.

Now, as we gear up to enjoy both releases, we ask….

Whose single are you looking forward to the most?

Mariah carey of course. She is the queen of music and with Miguel added on the song I think it will be a stone cold killer summer anthem. #POW

    • RoyalNavi May 5, 2013

Queen of Payola more like. As soon as she left Tommy her sales went down because he stopped cutting those radio checks.

      • VisionOfMimi May 5, 2013

Look at this loose p**** Titanic member coming for Mutha! F*** you b****! F*** you!

      • steph May 5, 2013

Oh Please, Rihanna would be nothing without her 200000000000 producers writters and deaf jams, roc nation company. Tommy did his job and Mariah Carey did hers its called team work and bizznasssss. Mariah wrote and produced… Tommy promoted POINT BLANK PERIOD

    • Carla May 5, 2013

Why are people making it seems like Mariah Carey is some huge chart-topping star these days?

Since 2010 Mariah has released 8 singles, the highest charting? Both peaked at #100. “Up Out My Face” and “Oh Santa!”. The rest didn’t even chart. “Triumphant (Get ‘Em),” “Angels Cry,” “When Christmas Comes,” “”Almost Home,” “H.A.T.E.U.” all missed the Hot 100 chart.

Since 2010 Jennifer has released 7 singles, the highest charting? “On the Floor” peaked at #3. She also had a few decent CHARTING hits unlike Mariah. “I’m Into You” (#41) “Dance Again” (#17) “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)” (#36), even “Papi” hit #96. Still higher than any single Mariah has released in the last 3 years.

      • Common Sense May 5, 2013

One is an eternal music legend and one is not. So your mini essay is completely unnecessary.

      • Carla May 5, 2013

Cher is a music legend. Tina Turner is a music legend. The Rolling Stones are music legends. They’re not making top-ten hits anymore are they? Deal with it. Mariah hasn’t had a Top 90 hit in 4 years. J.Lo has had a few hits in the last 4 years. Mariah? Once again? Highest charting single in the last 4 years .. #100. Enough said.

  2. Victor May 5, 2013

    JLoooooo!

  3. MUSICAL_REALITY May 5, 2013

Let’s be real, J.Lo’s music is redundant. Everyone bashed Mariah when the American Idol speculations arose, but fact of the matteris, J.Lo’s success wasn’t exactly monsterous. “On The Floor” was the only propserous single J.Lo has released, “Papi” and “Dance Again” weren’t exactly note worthy. Mariah, at least, take’s chances. I’d much rather hear what mariah has produced with Miguel, instead of yet ANOTHER song with J.Lo and Pitbull. How many times can the same two people make a song together? At LEAST, try to make it sound different. Club song, after club song shows vocal limitation, and fear of growth. Mainly, because J.Lo isn’t exactly musical. She wouldn’t know how to diversify her musical brand, since all she does is what her producers want her to do. Ultimately BRING IT ON MARIAH!!!!

    • The Shade of It All May 5, 2013

      Well said! #POW

    • Selenator May 5, 2013

I see nothing but the truth

    • Bow Down Bishes! May 5, 2013

      PREEEEACH!

  4. slimsexy May 5, 2013

I love them both,so I wish them all the best.
But I hope j lo does something different this time.miss the “old ” jlo

  5. iamdexxx May 5, 2013

Jennifer Lopez….. i’m ready to dance this summer!

  6. VisionOfMimi May 5, 2013

TGJ better stan downe for Mariah!

    • MCThePlaceToBe May 5, 2013

I noticed they’ve been stanning for her recently and I’m here for it 2bh.

    • BrunoMartian May 5, 2013

They stopped stanning for after the first Nicki fight but now they’re back to loving her again.

  7. ARFA May 5, 2013

Im here for Mariahs ALBUM and I’m here for Jlos SINGLE!!

  8. Junior Queens & Lesbians in training May 5, 2013

Mariah! I’m not here for crappy dance music and limited vocals

  9. HausMuthaAdele May 5, 2013

Mariah could slay if she learned to pretend to be nice in interviews and really gave us EMC tea giving ballads.

  10. Lana Del Slay May 5, 2013

Jlo will slay with the performances so I’m gonna say she’ll sell more.

    • Common Sense May 5, 2013

Kind of hard not to slay with such limited vocals in a generic dance track.

  11. Booboo May 5, 2013

Why are they even being compared. One is a legendary musical figure the other is a pretty actress.

    • FentySoSnatched May 5, 2013

But one can chart and the other can’t.

      • KEY May 5, 2013

@FENTYSOSNATCHED “but one can chart and the other can’t.” <—it's so sad when that the only way "musicians" can stay relevant. Gangnam Style charted, got over 1 billion views, and will definitely be forgotten months or years from now. Does charting really mean anything when you only appeal to the pop/dance crowd by only putting out pop/dance music? your comment is proof that you don't support real music. Hell, "fenty" is a good example as well. A non-dancing/singing disaster.

      • FentySoSnatched May 5, 2013

Your argument is nul in void because Stay has sold 2.5 million and that’a slow song. People don’t buy Mariah music because she’s irrelevant.

      • AJ May 5, 2013

LMFAO…Charting or not..atleast ONE of those ladies can ATLEAST sing..and ATLEAST be remembered for vocals…not getting her ass beat by Chris Brown…Sad case

    • Selenator May 5, 2013

Correction: One is a legendary musical figure the other is just pretty. J.H** can’t act.

      • justin May 5, 2013

Mariah look like iron giant she washed up

    • Common Sense May 5, 2013

Actress LOL? Every movie she’s ever been in has been trashed by critics. I shudder to even think of the abortion that was Gigli. That movie made Glitter look like Casablanca.

  12. SO FRESH May 5, 2013

Mariah! Like J. Lo too but I’m ready for some true vocals from MC n I feel it’s gonna be sum true R&B w/ Miguel on it too!

  13. Sleazy May 5, 2013

Mariah ONLY because Jlo decided to put Pitbull on her song AGAIN!!!!!! But I’m looking more forward to Jlo Music video than Mariah’s

    • POP ROYALTY (Bohemian Grove) May 5, 2013

      stop drinking URINE.

  14. Monstarebel May 5, 2013

Im here for both why do we have to choose one or the other…

  15. BeyWhoUWanna May 5, 2013

Mariah better get on the charts this time.

    • TaylorGang May 5, 2013

Call me when she sells HALF of IKYWT.

      • PinkPussyBarb May 5, 2013

No sis. I don’t like Mariah as a person but don’t come for her musically because she slays most of our faves even on a bad day.

      • Common Sense May 5, 2013

Call me when Taylor writes about something other than her exes or when she gains the ability to sing live.

  16. MDNA2013 May 5, 2013

Strangely enough I’m actually looking forward to Mariah’s just so I can where it doesn’t chart.

    • AJ May 5, 2013

Just like all the singles from MDNA….and every album since Music! Tell madonna good luck getting a #1 single this next decade since she hasnt gotten one in the last decade.

  17. Jackieyonce May 5, 2013

    Mariah >>> JLO.
    Musically though.
    JLO>>> Mariah
    Acting though
This means Mariah because she’s real and I think she will do another massive anthem. I don’t want something like Almost or triumphant! No
I’m giving my money on Mariah Legendary Carey

    • Common Sense May 5, 2013

Critics disagree with your assessment of J.Lo’s acting abilities…

  18. JanetXone May 5, 2013

    MIMI!!!!

  19. Jackieyonce May 5, 2013

Team Mariah Carey. Beyonce follows MC on twitter. She loves her 🙂

  20. DOSSOME May 5, 2013

I’m more excited for Mimi but i wish both of them success…JLOs song might actually do better than Mimi’s own based on youtube views and downloads but Mariah’s album will definitely outsell JLOs.I’m only being honest here

    • POP ROYALTY (Bohemian Grove) May 5, 2013

JLO is not that big of an album seller , so……..

Why you lambs always trying the sales card ?!

But we all know JLO’s Single will be The Bigger HIT anyway, we want to f*****’ DANCE DANCE 😛

      • AJ May 5, 2013

Um…when was the last time actually had a REAL hit anyway? I forgot what her last REAL #1 single was…….I guess Tommy stopped cutting the Payola checks for J.Lo as well

      • Common Sense May 5, 2013

Meh some of us want substance in our music. To each his own.

  21. DIGGER BEY THE KING May 5, 2013

    BOTH!

    • CiCi Slaaaaaaaays May 5, 2013

To bad flopyonce isnt releasing anything she scared

      • AJ May 5, 2013

You don’t believe this herself……Beyonce may not get a mega single, but she still get s more notoriety for releasing a song that Ciara does. Ciara’s time has truly passed and there is no lane for her anymore…..too old for the kids, and too young sounding for adults.

  22. Tallb May 5, 2013

that pic of her is hot!!!

  23. CiCi Slaaaaaaaays May 5, 2013

I’m here for J.lo aka Beyonces mother!

  24. Loyalty May 5, 2013

    Mariah!

  25. ShadeNOShade May 5, 2013

I’m Here For J-Lo. She Can Still Dance & Sing.

Mariah . . . Your Two Singles “Almost Home” & “Triumphant” Aren’t Doing So Well.

    • AJ May 5, 2013

Lol….its funny that you say J-Lo can still dance and SING? when was JLo ever considered a singer? and when was the last time she had a REAL hit? not a moderate hit like on the floor that no on will remember

  26. Loyalty May 5, 2013

Why does it have to be a versus thing though. Ugh the media and putting women up against each other!

  27. Rach May 5, 2013

Jlos new song is just gonna be the same trash we’ve heard over and over. The fact shes using Pitbull AGAIN. I am here for Mimi.

  28. Todd May 5, 2013

Im here for MC! JLo lost me,thanks to Pitbull…. TGJ,shady as always postin Mariahs worst performance EVER!

  29. Todd May 5, 2013

And let me just say that HONEY is one of THE BEST MUSIC VIDEOS EVER!

  30. Likica May 5, 2013

Both, but J. Lo more for sure! The fashion icon of our generation is coming to slay hard with her bop! <3

  31. KEY May 5, 2013

Definitely Mariah. I need well rounded real music. Not pop/dance trash

    • Likica May 5, 2013

But you fav does generic dance songs like Down For Whatever/When love Takes Over/Commander and of them on her last album. Is her music pop/dance trash too?

      • KEY May 5, 2013

Here the thing….while you’re right about Kelly putting out pop music, she is not putting out only pop music. When love takes over is a song known for Kellys powerful vocals just to putthat out there. On top of that, she is capable of putting out all types of music. The fact that you’re only naming three pop songs she has sang shows that you came unprepared to back up any facts. Hell, Mariah even put out a pop song (Triumphant Vintage Mix) and is staying true to herself. I’m not saying that I’m against pop music, but if thats all youre capable of doing then I’m not here for it.

    • Likica May 5, 2013

I like all these Kelly’s songs though ^^

Right now J.Lo might be doing only pop/dance, but she has great ballads as well. Como Ama Una Mujer, her Spanish song has zero dance songs on it. You can find on Rebirth Can’t Believe This Is Me/Step Into My World/He’ll Be Back. Beside dance, she did R&B and Latin Pop too. She’s not just a singer of dance tunes.

      • Likica May 5, 2013

        her Spanish album**

      • KEY May 5, 2013

You’re right. Don’t get me wrong, I tried making it clear that I still like JLo. I think she’s a great artist. I’ve listened to most of her songs. I also know that she’s capable of many different singing styles and sounds. It’s just that I feel like she’s just throwing music out there nowadays. Especially when she started teaming up with pitbull. I also know he’s has a diverse sound as well. When I said “not pop/dance trash” I wasn’t coming for JLo lol That was a general statement.

    • AJ May 5, 2013

      hello ! kelly R ? LOL

  32. POP ROYALTY (Bohemian Grove) May 5, 2013

I am Waiting for Both of their Singles , but I’m more XD about Mariah’s Comeback even more than JLO’s Single or beyonce’s whole thing , Plus JLO’s will feature Pitbull and we all know it’s gonna be dance music and gonna be more successful than Mariah’s given the state of today’s music scene, so no surprises for JLovers? ! but MC’s single got some initial “promising” reviews and i think that what i’m all XD about.

STILL what i’m really here for is mariah’s iconic facial expressions when JLO perform her new single in Idol.
    😈

  33. KEY May 5, 2013

Still got love for JLo though…but that “love dont cost a thing” Jlo and this “On the floor” Jlo are not the same Jennifer Lopez. I’m sorry, but if your music appeals to more than 500,000,000-1,000,000,000 people then you can’t be true to your music because it is….generic music with no specificity whatsoever. I’m not down for marketing based electro/pop music. I need talent based music no matter how many people it appeals to. I like to see an artists true colors. I’d never buy a pop song.

    • POP ROYALTY (Bohemian Grove) May 5, 2013

dance music is a type of music , just cuz you like R&B and don’t like Dance pop doesn’t mean it is bad.

just choose whatever you like and DEAL with the given fact everyone has their OWN musical taste !!

So i wonder what you listen to when you work out or when you are in the club ? Motivation ? 😆

      • KEY May 5, 2013

What does Kelly Rowland have to do with anything?

      • KEY May 5, 2013

I never said it was bad. Where the hell to do see me saying that it’s bad? I’m comparing Mariah and Jlo. Kelly is no where to be found in my comment.I simply said I want real music not popuar music.

      • POP ROYALTY (Bohemian Grove) May 5, 2013

        Define “real Music” then… 🙄

      • KEY May 5, 2013

Real music is music that has meaning and wasn’t released solely for marketing purposes.

      • KEY May 5, 2013

        isn’t

      • KEY May 5, 2013

I could have used a better adjective such as generic music instead of real music. My mistake, but my opinion stays the same.

  34. Mariah 20 May 5, 2013

Almost home was for the sound track of a movie smh mariah will slay her song is already reviving great reviews from different radio station around the country many count her out but she still end up slaying just stop it

  35. Krisy May 5, 2013

Mariah deffo. And my mind isnt clouded by charts and stats. Mariah musically>>>>>>

And the other one, well…. I dont know her 😀

    • king May 9, 2013

it’s hard to have 18 #1 singles on billboards, not everyone has those

  36. JARED (WHITE DUDE) May 5, 2013

“Honey” >>>>>>> Every other ‘Dance/R&B’ song of the 1990’s.

    🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Likica May 5, 2013

I like Vogue more (if you count it as a dance song) 😛

      • JARED (WHITE DUDE) May 5, 2013

Oh, of course… “Vogue” will always remain THE ‘Dance’ song/anthem of the 1990’s but “Honey” was more ‘R&B- driven, so that’s why I said ‘Dance/R&B’.

        LOL.

What are your favourite songs of the 90’s? Top 5.

        🙂 🙂 🙂

      • Likica May 5, 2013

        1.Vogue
        2.I Will Always Love You
        3.Killing Me Softly (The Fugees)
        4.Frozen
        4.Baby One More Time

Hm, it’s hard, probably there are more that deserve to be on the list. What about you?

      • JARED (WHITE DUDE) May 5, 2013

        @Likica

        In any genre:

        1) Fantasy – Mariah Carey

        2) Smells Like T*** Spirit – Nirvana

        3) I Have Nothing – Whitney Houston

        4) Because You Loved Me – Celine Dion

        5) Justify My Love – Madonna

        🙂

      • Likica May 5, 2013

        Nice 😉
According to VH1, 100 Greatest Songs of the 90’s (Top 10)

        1. Nirvana “Smells Like T*** Spirit”
        2. U2 “One”
        3. Backstreet Boys “I Want It That Way”
        4. Whitney Houston “I Will Always Love You”
        5. Madonna “Vogue”
        6. Sir Mix-A-Lot “Baby Got Back”
        7. Britney Spears “…Baby One More Time”
        8. TLC “Waterfalls”
        9. R.E.M. “Losing My Religion”
        10. Sinéad O’Connor “Nothing Compares 2 U”

    • POP ROYALTY (Bohemian Grove) May 5, 2013

that is , SADLY , not a fact tho , so..

      • JARED (WHITE DUDE) May 5, 2013

        Well, it’s a subjective one. So…

  37. RoyalKev May 5, 2013

I see it like this, I am checking for Jlo when she comes hard. She’s someone that delivers with her dance videos (but I’m not into her Dance styled music). Jlo slays for someone her age. Dismiss her all you want – but she’s better than some artist half her age!

Mariah always has something I love on her albums, although I sometimes do not like her actual singles. She gets it right when she stays true to her original sound (and hits hard with music you can relate to). She gets it wrong when she tries too hard to keep up with the younger generation.

As far as I’m concerned I’m personally looking forward more to seeing Jlo – BUT I don’t want anything from either diva that feels like it’s just thrown out there just for the hell of it! I could end up liking material from one and not the other, both, or neither depending on the music!

    • Hey ya May 5, 2013

Yeah, I agree. I feel as though Jen really concentrates on her music and tries to give the people what they want, while Mariah kind of doings her own thing, which can have good results but sometimes results in stuff like Charmbracelet (I think?) where she just gave The-Dream free reign and it turned out horribly (like Ciara’s Basic Instinct, an album he largely controlled).

I also think Mariah looks pretty sloppy and let’s be honest, pop music is very superficial and part of the success of a song is looking hot while singing it. JLO is constantly updating her look and morphing into various versoins of herself while Mariah kinda is exactly the same since the mid-90s with the teenager act.

      • RoyalKev May 5, 2013

I think you’re referring to Memoirs, that album was half and half for me.

I enjoyed Obsessed (but its not safe for Mariah to shoot for that too often). It works when we get songs like Migrate, but it doesn’t when we end up with songs like Triumphant and Candy Bling.

I want her track listing to look more this way:
        Standing O
        Up Out My Face
        Shake It Off
…A few of those tracks and then mainly this stuff:

I’ll Be Loving U Long Time
        Stay The Night
        Your Girl
Allways Be My Baby (that song is timeless)

    • POP ROYALTY (Bohemian Grove) May 5, 2013

aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh , I live for this Song !! it has some arabic feel to it tho , that’s why i love it , JLO>>>>>>>>>>

    • Likica May 5, 2013

I don’t know about arabic feel but it is really amazing, I agree 🙂

    • RoyalKev May 5, 2013

      That song is pretty interesting!

I think Jlo’s very versatile, she does Pop & R&B equally well.

I like when she does Pop tunes like: ‘Mile In These Shoes’, ‘Stay Together’

Then more edgy/ gritty stuff: ‘He’ll Be Back’, ‘Still’ .

I even like some of her ballads, ‘Wrong When You’re Gone’ could have easily been a hit!

  38. rihking (godfather) May 5, 2013

    queen Mariah!!!!

  39. POP ROYALTY (Bohemian Grove) May 5, 2013

Why you Put “HONEY” music video @sam , we all know Mariah can NOT dance.

  40. L Cerano May 5, 2013

Yeah, I think this one goes to Mariah. I am so excited that she is releasing new material.

  41. JARED (WHITE DUDE) May 5, 2013

    Oh…

And, according to ‘Darkchild’, “If You Had My Love” was originally given to Whitney Houston for her ‘M Love Is Your Love’ album, she had done the background vocals for it but then she passed on it halfway through the songs production because she thought it sounded to much like “Its Not Right But Its Okay”… 🙂 🙂 🙂

I wonder how she would’ve sounded on it. I wish she kept it.

  42. WhiteBoi May 5, 2013

Is this a Joke question? Mariah of course .. what musical legacy has JLO left? JLO is the poor mans Selena

    • justin May 5, 2013

shut yo white ass up JLo got 10 #1s b****! ove 60 million records sold ho!

      • AJ May 5, 2013

Justin…your point is??Mariah has 18 BONAFIDE Hot 100#1s and ove 200 million records sold.. and truth be told, Jennifer lopez highest moment probably will always be…Selena

      • Common Sense May 5, 2013

“Cuz you’re dreaming delusionally tonight ’til tomorrow…”

  43. My Forehead Tho May 5, 2013

While Mariah is shaped like the Iron Giant, I still prefer her music to J.Lo’s. With Mariah you get real music. With J.Lo you get generic uninspiring struggle, very much like the music Rihanna makes.

    #TheDifference

    • Daz May 5, 2013

Your comments never fail to make me laugh.

    • Selenator May 5, 2013

      I can’t with Iron Giant

  44. Jackieyonce May 5, 2013

Lmao kiiii! I don’t want JLO she’s just good at being a hollywood actress and acting pretty. EMC >>>> Jlo’s discography and you haters will deal.

  45. . : : h 2 o : : . May 5, 2013

I’m not anticipating any of them that hard but I just wish Mariah the best..

    • . : : h 2 o : : . May 5, 2013

She can “flop” as much as she wants after 200M+ albums sold worldwide 🙄

      • truth(i’ll f*** nicki honey NNN WIIITTT NNN WIT B****! ) May 5, 2013

She need’s to take her 200M+ albums and retire

coming form a lana delray stan………………….

    • Selenator May 5, 2013

Queen Mariah shits on Lana Del Trash. Hell even J.H** shits on that flop.

  50. IDK May 5, 2013

MARIAH ALL DAY BABY! I like Jlo too but these everything after her “rebirth” album has not been that good to me. I miss Jenny from the block. But Im still interested to see what she brings tho.

  51. Primecuts May 5, 2013

Mooriah and J-h** new songs are gonna both be auto tuned over produced pieces of s***.

  52. Hey ya May 5, 2013

Probably Jennifer’s song, but I’m hoping Pitbull isn’t on it. Mariah is much more talented, but I like Jennifer’s music instead of Mariah’s stuff produced by The-Dream (but Triumphant Pulse Remix was amazing). I also think I like Jen’s music a little more because JLO is a fantastic performer and I can imagine her dancing around to her stuff, probably one of the few chicks left who still dances well while performing (Ciara and Madonna being the other two who still do this).

  53. gaga monster May 5, 2013

    Post your pics! 😀

  54. MC May 5, 2013

    Oh please, Mariah’s of course.

I can just listen to On The Floor, Dance Again, etc for that same Pitbull/JLo/RedOne production.

Mariah has never worked with Miguel and all the reviews are promising so far.

    —-

Regardless, we know who will come out on top commercially: J-Lo 🙄

  55. justin May 5, 2013

    JLO MARIAH HAREY SIT DOWN!!!

    • AJ May 5, 2013

A Boy that says..”sit down” in those terms sound gay as hell……….

      • Common Sense May 5, 2013

I wasn’t aware many straight men followed divas on music blogs lol.

  56. J.LOvebird May 5, 2013

Looking forward to both artists’ singles.

  57. Selenator May 5, 2013

Lol no one is checking for J.H**. I’d rather hear from Mariah and the Prince of R&B Miguel

    • Likica May 5, 2013

Nice that you stan for her movie Selena ^^

      • Selenator May 5, 2013

Lol why would I stan for basic acting? Selena Gomez is a way better actress. *polishes her Emmy*

  58. mc the place to be! May 5, 2013

if you want to bet against someone it better not be carey #nuffsaid you never know with her especially with that voice of hers every era different sound/voice mariah knows how to stay relevant with her music

  59. Boy May 5, 2013

People seem to neglect the fact that TRIUMPHANT was a #1 dance hit on the dance charts. The very charts J.Lo’s new single is currently going for. So no, Triumphant wasnt a Hot 100 hit, but its further established her on the dance charts. And Mariah sells albums. Yes, Memoirs was considerd a flop. Why? Because it sold 2.5 million and thats low for Mariah. J. LO, Like many other artist, dream of having a hit album thats sells 200k and goes gold.

  60. gemini May 5, 2013

im ready for both i dont know why they puttin them against each other they are completly 2 diff artist

  61. Carla May 5, 2013

    • POW May 5, 2013

How many of those hits did Jennifer Lopez write and/or produce? ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Carla May 5, 2013

What does that have to do with anything? Mariah Carey still hasn’t had a song reach higher than #100 in over 4 years, which probably Mariah Carey needs to stop writing her own music if she wasn’t to get higher than #100… DUH lol.

      • SLAYRIAH CAREY (SUPERIOR DIVA) May 5, 2013

        @CARLA
“Mariah Carey still hasn’t had a song reach higher than #100 in over 4 years,”

B**** you straight up lied. ‘All I want for christmas is you’ went to #21 on the BB hot 100. you tried honey, you really f****** tried.

      • Carla May 5, 2013

LOL So her 20 year old Christmas song performed better than anything she has released in the last 5 years?! lol Good job Mariah Carey!

  62. Jayla May 5, 2013

The gays are looking for JLO because they want to dance lol, the rest if us are anticipating mariah for some real music… I like both ladies tho but come on how can u compare lol

  63. momo May 5, 2013

    JLO all the wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
    ready to DANCEEEEEEEE

  64. AJ May 5, 2013

    barbz supporting J.LO <3 nickii

  65. S****** Blonde May 5, 2013

I’m not excited, i was hoping for solo singles but they’re both have featuring artists in their songs that i don’t like.

  66. Troy May 5, 2013

I can guarantee that Jlo’s does better in the charts

  67. BeyoncesWigBrusher May 5, 2013

I am a fan of both and look forward to both their singles. JLo will have the best video… She doesnt play when it comes to those but I am sure Mariah will have the better song.. I just wish JLo would have done it with out Pitbull, its like everything is starting to sound the same.

I will be supporting both women this week and my ipod is looking forward to the new additions.

  68. POW May 5, 2013

Are people really trying to front like Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez are in the same league? PUH-LEASE…Jennifer Lopez has been a shameless imitator since “On the 6” dropped in 1999. She’s a mediocre vocalist at best and has simply had the luck to work with producers who write and select material for her to sing. She doesn’t write or produce her own music. Mariah has written and produced the bulk of her material and arguably paved the way for Jennifer Lopez to imitate the hip-hop collaborations that Carey made popular in the mid 1990s.

    • Bow Down Bishes! May 5, 2013

      Say it!

  69. SLAYRIAH CAREY (SUPERIOR DIVA) May 5, 2013

Mariah Slays the f*** out of JLO
    End of story.

  70. Enni May 5, 2013

Mariah Carey! Because JLo is probably going to recycle all her past pitbull collabs and put it out again! I want to hear Mariah sing with Miguel.!

  71. SBC19 May 5, 2013

Neither really but I’m gonna choose Mariah by default because I know JLo’s song is gonna be some f@ggotity dance pop trash for homos.

  72. Common Sense May 5, 2013

Another tired Pitbull generic dance track? How very J.Lo. Mariah better get in the game promote her s*** and slay all the basic wannabes in the industry right now.

  73. Vandrea May 5, 2013

Mariah’s, and I’m not even a fan of hers…but I already know Jennifer’s is gonna be some tired “On the Floor” part 78 dance mess, and I’m definitely not interested in that. At least with Mariah’s song, I can look forward to Miguel. Eff a Pitbull.

  74. EnRanc May 5, 2013

Mariah. If JLo weren’t doing dance music, and was still in her 2001-2008 Hip Hop phase, I would’ve chose her.

    • L21480 May 6, 2013

IA. If Jen was giving us another I’m Real/Ain’t It Funny, I would definitely side with her over Mariah. But I’m not into this “dance” mess she keeps regurgitating with RedOne and Pitbull, so Mariah gets the square.

  75. Tiara May 5, 2013

Are you crazy? MARIAH ALL THE WAY!

  76. Bow Down Bishes! May 5, 2013

J-Ho wants to be white, she’s TRASH! I’m looking forward to an actual artist, a living legend Mariah of course.

  77. JER May 5, 2013

I’ll be checking for both. DO NOT F*** IT UP LADIES.

  78. moe May 6, 2013

JLOOOOOOO sexiest woman alive . #LIVEITUP

    • Gabriel May 6, 2013

      Tottaly agree!!!

  79. Gabriel May 6, 2013

I used to love Mimi but lately… I’ve not seen she doing something huge, risking a new thing. She’s going to do the same boring R&B with Jermaine Dupri productions. After she released “The Emancipation of Mimi”, the following albuns look the same thing of this one(E=MC² and Memoirs of an Imperfecet Angel). Mariah Carey make me fell lazy… She tries to show her s** appeal that she doesn’t have.
I hope J.Lo do something amazing, something hot and s***. I wouldn’t like to see Jennifer repeating things again. I hope she’s smart enough to do something great!
I think J.Lo and Mariah won’t be the divas of the summer, I think Beyoncé is still saving the best hit of the year. But between Mimi an Jenny-Lo, I think Jennifer is going to make something better! (:

  80. TheNormaJeane May 6, 2013

I think Mariah Carey’s single, which is now on iTunes as of today entitled “Beautiful” featuring Miguel, is going to be a bigger hit and more succesful.

I personally am over all of this constant dance music, and JLo keeps working with the same people in my opinion, and creating the same music over and over again.

  81. KMG May 7, 2013

They may have shared the same boss (the same sample on a song? LOL), the same manager, the same reality show, the same collaborators (at some point), the same age but NO, they could never be in the same sentence comparing their material. Mariah’s MUSIC is beyond….ooond.
