Elle Varner calls on the genius that is Elijah Blake to pen her latest release this year, a sensual jam named ‘Rover.’
Featuring Roc Nation‘s Wale, the number’s purpose is to tease her fans with her forthcoming album, reportedly set for release in the coming year.

I like the song. But ell varner said she wouldn’t sell s**.. And Now look, the hypocrisy of artists. Instagram and those comments have cleared altered her mind set. LOL. Now with that being said, she can get the business and I like it
Elle DID that, but it’s not her best song.
Too sexual for me.
Rihanna is the biggest s** addict of all time so what are you talking about girl?
S** addict? Did you forget about all the whoring Beycopyrightce’ was doing in Drunk in Love? Ohkay zen.
I’ve already eaten one turkey today, do you want me to eat you too?
That pic though…and @ILikeThatSong agreed…just like how Rihanna said she’d never do blonde again during the GGGB era…
Yes ELLE!!!!
Now she is an underrated artist!
It’s sensual She’s not selling s**, this is what happens in life (S**). If people didn’t have s**, we wouldn’t be here and there would not be any procreation. It’s not like she’s talking explicity about her kitty cat or the male genitals. She even specifically talked about her sexual side in an interview with The Breakfast Club, mentioning that she does do s** stuff, but it’s very platful and tongue on cheek. Which is what this song, “Rover”, is. In addition, she has a track on her debut album called “Sound Proof Room”, in which she does the same thing. So this is nothing new, and it’s fun that this is 1 song (possibly single), and you’re talking about selling s**.
Her Twitter comments were about fashion and other crap overshadowing the art. This is still art. Even the quote on quote “best era” of music, the 90s, and before then, most of those songs were about s**. However, they were in playful ways or tasteful (as is this song).
SMASH!
For a music blog a lot of the followers on here don’t know a damn thing about music…This is the real deal, Elle Varner = Real, Modern R&B
