With the Dancing With The Stars finale set to take place tonight, favourite Nicole Scherzinger is capitalising on the exposure by premièring her latest solo single ‘Nobody Can Change Me’. The Pop/Rock cut is the first single to be lifted from the Pussycat Dolls singer’s debut album – which has been subject to delays spanning years. In any case, take a listen below…
An ironic title for a song, which after listening though, is in dire need of ‘change’. Put simply, it’s awful, uninspired, dated, and cheesy sounding. Worse still, I’m still left nonethewiser as to who Scherzinger wants to be as an artist. For, if this is the route she’s going for,very well she may encounter the same issues she did with her previous solo efforts – no one gravitated towards it. Back to the drawing board…
to shine she need to be the only one to sing in a group , or to go to “dancing with the stars” , so i wasn’t hoping nothing more than this. go Nicole Flopzinger!!!

Damn Sam, a little tongue-in-check aren’t ya! The song is not as bad as you make it out to seem, but it is not that great either. I could see it as an album filler, a possible mid-tempo song on a heavy dance-track album; but as a lead single…I don’t think so. I think that Nicole is having a hard time finding her own musical identity outside of PCD, and that might be because her musical identity is PCD – I mean, who else sings lead. No matter how talented (and more talented in the case of Melody Thornton) the other members of PCD were, they were relegated to becoming glorified backup dancers. Nicole was the muse (and I use that word very loosely here) for most of the PCD songs, and sang lead on all of them. Nicole should definitely stick with PCD-esque songs, but something a bit darker and richer in meaning – but this song here mane, is not the business :-/

@Parisian girl, your absolutely right! This song is terrible and I am no hater! I want Nicole to shine because she’s a brillant dancer and she’s gorgeous and has talent. She needs to be doing urban/pop. I hate that she doesn’t know what her identity is. Any of these type of songs/styles would work on NIcole: Beyonce(Beautiful Nightmare), Rihanna(Shut up and drive/ Please don’t stop the music/Disturbia), Jlo(Get Right), Janet(Son of a gun), Mariah (Migrate), Alicia/Bey(Put it in a love song), Xtina(Woo hoo). Anything that sounds remotely close to this works for Nicole, she needs to take notes!
