Yes that album slayed no-holds barred. Every song, and she was sangin so tough! “Lazy” is my ish, as well as “Matter”, “Good to Me”, and “Good to Me.”
I would repeat myself, but how could I forget “She Don’t.”
I love Toya !! The song is nice , can’t wait to hear more aggressive songs from her I know it’s coming her latest album was amazing & i still bump “Torn” till this day I’ve always been rooting for her I really love her voice
Some people are just not hip to that Marvin Gaye flavor. I have a sneaking suspicion that the folks, who don’t feel this, simply don’t have the reference point. Nonetheless, she hit the nail on the head (for those of us in the know).
And what would this reference be? This is genuine question because I love the song.
Marvin Gaye. There are certain progressions that are signature Marvin Gaye. As a matter of fact, off the top of my head, I think the melody of the verse in this song mimics “make me wanna holla”. Check out his “here, my dear” album though; or anything he released around that time. I think you may hear it.

I love how she isn’t always trying to be trendy like some other girls. I actually like this and Don’t make me wait. This album is gonna slay like always I’m ready for Toya and Tamar also. Bring it on Spring!

I love that all of the women in destiny’s child are all active & still young and as beautiful is not more beautiful than they were before ! You can’t say that about any other female group . I can’t wait to see the DC movie whenever it comes out I really think that it’s going to be good I’ve been waiting for a DC movie for forever it may be too soon but who knows with Matthew anyway smh lol
