Access Hollywood has confirmed that the ‘No Sleeep’ songstress will hit the Asian region after completing the first US leg of her ‘Unbreakable Tour’:
Access Hollywood has learned exclusively that Janet will perform in Osaka on November 19 and Tokyo on November 21-22.
Access has also learned that the Grammy winner will take a short break before heading to Japan. Sources tell us to celebrate her three sold-old shows in Honolulu, Janet, along with her family, friends and “members of her tour”, will be “taking over two luxury estates” in Oahu that are owned by Kathy Ireland. {Source}

Oh. I didn’t know the Forum, Barclay’s center, key arena etc etc etc were theatres. Hell even in the smaller venues she’s playing multiple nights. 2 nights in Vegas (15400), 3 in Hawaii (22000) etc etc. Yeah too bad the unpromoted tour isn’t doing too well.

She’s playing 55 largest arenas in North America (2x more than Madonna) and one 24,000 capacity amphitheater. She is also playing one 10,000 amphitheater in Atlanta and Atlanta’s largest arena (24,000) so nearly 35,000 people will see her only in Atlanta.
All For You sold million copies in Japan and was best selling album in Japan in 2001. All Beyonce albums combined sold in Japan in less than 500k. In fact, Janet is one of only 5 foreign female artists who sold over 2 million albums in Japan (others are Mariah, Celine, Whitney and Madonna). Janet also had 8 sold out shows in Tokyo Dome, Japan’s largest stadium. Only Mariah had more (one more). But Janet will now change that with Unbreakable tour 🙂
All For You sold less than 600k in Japan,and in total Janet sold 3 million albums there. Stop the delusions
It sold million. It sold 750,000 only in 2001, but even 600,000 would be more than whole Beyonce or Britney discography. Even Discipline outsells firts two albums by Britney Spears in Japan. Not to mention Madonna’s Rebel Heart. It sold 27,000 only, Discipline 120,000 🙂

I’mma bit confused here. Why e Janet fans acting like she’s slaying??? No Sleeep FLOPPED, it only charted for 2 weeks and that was thanks to J Cole remix. It didn’t even go top 60!!! And don’t bring up the Adult R&B charts or other irrelevant sub charts!
Her tour is “sold out” (it’s not even sold out, just a PR statement from her team) because she plays small ass s*** venues, theatres and a few smaller arenas. Her comeback FAILED, accept it and don’t lie and say she’s doing good
Janet reached #67 (solo) and peaked at #63 (with J Cole). He brought something to the song artistically, but she already went most of the distance on her own. This is still pretty decent for vets in Jan’s age bracket. Let’s be frank, mainstream radio is barely playing women over 30. I can narrow things down into other categories where artists are ignored, but I won’t. The tour venues she’s doing aren’t smaller theaters. You may want to google a few of the arenas capacities she’s performing at.
She’s slaying cause this type of the song usually don’t chart. It’s not commercial. It’s like expecting Sade or Enya to chart. It’s charting only because it’s Janet. Also, over 35 artists nowadays rarely chart at all. Janet is 49 and still charting which is fantastic. She first charted on Hot 100 in 1982! Just amazing.

Janet being a veteran/old act is not an excuse for the poor performance of her new song. Michael had a #9 peaking song just last year, Mariah had a #15 peaking song in 2013, Madonna had a #10 peaking song in 2012. And they are all older than Janet. Why couldn’t Janet manage to go higher than #63??

Janet Jackson’s new song “No Sleeep” is a huge fail, it didn’t even go top 60 even with a music video and remix with relevant rapper. Janet was never more than an also-ran and is merely a tiny foot note in music history. She was always mostly famous for being Michael’s sister, nothing more.
