As well as the Pop icon, 44, the movie stars acclaimed actresses Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Jurnee Smollett, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington, Loretta Devine, as well as Macy Gray.
Mariah Carey, who was initially set to star in the film, pulled out just days before filming commenced. No reason has been given for the 42 year old’s absence.
‘For Coloured Girls…’ hits theatres later this year.

This movie needs to be banned by all Black women.We just allow any thing about us out there for entertainment. Precious was bad enough.This was a great play in the 70’s,great for coming out of the civil rights movement. But really… For colored girls commiting s****** what kind of message is that. There are a myriad of other ideals that show black women in a much more positive light.There is a book out called The Conspiracy to Destroy Black Women but don’t worry black women are destroying themselves. Mariah pulled out because her conscious would not allow her to be in two movies that demean black women..I give her kudos for that. Great move Mariah. And why is Tyler doing someone else’s work? That’s not something he does. He has this thing for making black women look bad. I hate that. Money drives the most insensitive souls. WAKE UP BLACK WOMEN…
