The previous speculation about Brandy’s possible participation on ‘Dancing With The Stars‘ has been confirmed. The news broke today that the R&B singer will be joining the 11th season of ABC’s hit show alongside Michael Bolton, Bristol Palin, David Hasselhoff, Florence Henderson, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and others. This won’t be the only reality show that Brandy on which Brandy will be featured, however, as her Vh1 series, ‘The Family Business’, has been picked up for a season. {Source}

I was not happy about this at first, but in the end, it’s something she wants to do, not something she feels she HAS to do. It’s sad that Brandy has supported and done an interview with TGJ.net in the past, only to be treated with such ridicule and disrespect. I said the same thing about Trey Songz a few weeks ago (who I’m not even a fan of). Difference there was that Trey was actually quite rude to Sam. Brandy, on the other hand, was incredibly sweet and gracious. She did nothing to deserve that shade. I’m not sure what exposure you speak off, because Mario, May, Lil-kim, Toni Braxton, Nicole Scherzinger seem to have missed that incentive which DWTS offers. And let’s not get into the countless other has-beens who did DWTS and continue to witness their careers in the slumps.
And since you brought Monica into this. Monica’s team used a proven strategy in order to get her back in the spotlight. Brandy’s strategy is one that has been done by countless other has-beens and the only result is sh!t exploding on their face.
I’m not a fan of this decision. Only B-list celebrities do Dancing With The Stars. Brandy may indeed be a B-lister at the moment, but if she hopes for a musical comeback in the near future, she shouldn’t be acting like one. SMH

every person after their ellimination is set up to do all kinds of morning shows, ellen, the view etc… its a higher rated show than Idol. Its great exposure. Lets not forget thats what Brandys career was built off of. She’s doing 5 episodes of the game or vh1 show plus this its a good look.

That cast is boring. I don’t watch DWTS but I don’t think Brandy should be on the show. If anything she should be using her VH1 show for publicity like Fantasia did to get promo for a record. The only difference is that Brandy has real talent and should put out a strong comeback album.

I’ll admit that I’m not crazy about this particular career move, but if Brandy has any involvement with DWTS she can still avoid ruining her comeback. Brandy’s never been about gimmicks and I think the very thing that she always relies on (her talent) will aid her in being successful once again. All these Monica stans celebrating her #1 single and big album debut week for her to ALMOST be gold really need to bring it down with the hate. Those sales are actually reminiscent of how Monica used to sell in her prime. She took forever to go platnium! Anyway, I’m not interested in Monica, so I’ll return back to my focus! Brandy is disappointing me with this career choice, but I know what she’s capable of. I won’t give up on her! she deserves a warm welcome with her new music and I believe she’ll get one.
