After being dramatically fired from The Real, things are finally looking up for Tamar Braxton.
As reported yesterday, the 38-year-old has landed her own talk show with Steve Harvey‘s production company.
Following the announcement, the star was invited on-stage by big sister Toni Braxton during her Atlanta concert last night.
Much to the delight of the thousands in attendance, Tamar belted signature hit ‘Love & War’ – several lines from which are particularly poignant given the recent happenings.
Peep the powerful performance below…
Stunning performance.
Tamar sung with confidence, clarity, and potency.
We’re interested to see what her own talkshow project will yield, but we’re most anticipating new music.
‘Calling All Lovers’ didn’t minister to us the way ‘Love & War’ (the album) did. Yet, she’s had a rolla-coaster year to say the least. Hence hopefully she’ll be able to channel that into better material.
She sound amazing.
LIES!!! THAT S*** WAS PRE-RECORDED. THEY PUT DIFFERENT PERFORMANCE VOCALS TOGETHER FOR THE HIGH NOTES. THE CHICK STILL NEEDS TO PRACTICE LIPSYNCING BECAUSE SHE WAS “OFF TRACK”. LOOK AGAIN. IT’S OBVIOUS OR YOU NEED BETTER EYES. NEXT…
I don’t think she was lipping here. I just think (no shade) that she can’t move her face fr fr bc of all of the botox and heavy contouring.
Lol, uh….she WASN’T lipping here at all. Don’t be mad that just because she vocally slayed you want to try and diminish the slayage by saying she was “lipping”. This was TOTALLY LIVE. Accept it. Move on. Now carry on with your nonsense. Lol..
SHE IS LIPPING WITH THAT HORRIBLE BACK TRACK. LO
ACCEPT IT AND DEAL.
goodbjob and she looks great
No, she didn’t sound amazing. She wasn’t lip syncing though. She was singing with a backtrack. Tamar tries to hit notes that are not comfortably in her range and it sounds shrill sometimes. But she does the most with everything else in her life so….
Them damn vocals. That’s how you come back. Don’t bad mouth just kill them with talent.
She killed it! I’m glad her vocals are back! She hasn’t sound this good since beginning of her Love and War era. Good job Tamar!
Calling all lovers was IT!!!!!! Just because it didn’t perform as well doesn’t mean it didn’t minister to our soul. I just hope her next music era is done properly, bc honestly her music never disappoints
yes god I’m here for this comment
Calling All Lovers is light years better than Love & War. It’s such a shame how that album is getting slept on. I loathe Tamar as a person but that album is awesome
Exactly, what I said! Although I liked Love & War the material on that album was akrivht compared to Calling All Lovers.
VOCALS!!!!
Girl got range in these streets (in my Brandy tone lol)
Calling all lovers for me was a better album. With this n ew found confidence she needs to get back in the studio.
I HATE when ppl equate a record not doing well commercially with it being a “bad” record. Tamar’s laat was not only VOCALLY in a different league than jut about every album released last year, but was a true leader in bringing ACTUAL R&B music back to the forefront, and I’m not talking this hybrid Jhene Aiko/Frank Ocean “R&B”….REAL R&B (see: Whitney, Faith, Anita, Tamia, Deborah Vox & yes, Toni). But ppl sleep on actual TALENT these days smh
I would t say jhene isn’t talented
Her music is good she actually puts me to sleep at times
But Tamar’s third and second albums vastly differed
She went from hot sugar and the one to slow love songs
And plus the lead single w/ future was scrapped and I think ppl thought that’s how her album would sound
She did that!!! I’m not a fan and haven’t really kept up with what went down with her exit from The Real aside from when she dropped that bombshell last week. However, I’m all for someone who lands on their feet after life pulls the rug from under them. Her singing was clear, strong and full of conviction. Calling All Lovers was a little more ballad-heavy compared the more boppy Love & War so I can understand why some would feel it wasn’t as strong as the latter. Wishing her luck with her future endeavours.
She did that!
The power in her voice is real DAMN!
Cute Tamar very cute.
Great performance and Calling All Lovers was one of the best R&B albums released in 2014. I still can enjoy it right now as we speak.
*2015 lol
I was like “damn, has it been two years already?!”
Tamar is a star born from a family of immense talent! Her vocals and confidence are undeniable. You can’t keep a good woman down!
Leave God’s
children alone…
Her last album was good, a really good R&B album. Even though it didn’t sell. That still doesn’t take away from the quality of good music. Yaasssss Tamar. With her crazy ass. Lol..
Her stage presence has truly blossomed! Like someone pointed out, she never disappoints musically. She looks beautiful as well.
Good performance Tamar and you tell that she can’t help her facials lol.
Good performance
I never liked when she sung this song live! It’s way to same! And she never sounds like the track because her live version be more safe lol
