It’s here!

Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar debuted new single ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ moments ago.

The Island kissed cut is lifted from the Pop group’s upcoming sixth album which is due later this year.

Produced by Benny Blanco, the track awaits below…

Adam and co are a bit late to the party of artists borrowing the Caribbean sound; what’s more and perhaps most disheartening is the reality that what they’ve served up is far less compelling than others who’ve done the same. Lamar adds little to no seasoning too.

A quick radio hit? Sure. One we’ll be replaying anytime soon? Not at all.

Your thoughts?

Not really. One More Night had some Caribbean vibes to it. Adam’s song Locked Away.

But why is Kendrick working with these cr@cKer$ who have never spoken out about police brutality or black issues? Lamar should know better smh.

It’s kind of basic but they have been chasing for Pop hits for the last like 8 years and certainly since “Moves Like Jagger” caught on.

I think Interscope added Kendrick to the song since they are label mates and to make it more crossover and help its radio airplay. Kind of sad because it comes of more desperate than not.

It actually seems like it would have made for a good summer released single.

He is on a roll with these pop features. I’m not mad, though. I wouldn’t even be surprised if he incorporates pop music into his next album. That’ll really be changing the Hip-Hop game for real.

Maroon 5 have been so generic for years. Last time I enjoyed them and felt like something new was Moves Like Jagger with Xtina.
Kendrick is so damn good at what he does. He had one of the two best performances at the grammys this year. He deserves even more success.

This song is giving a lot of JB’s sorry vibe. Something is missing from the song. Kendrick is the highlight of this song, he is so good. Radio would eat it up, it would probably go top 10.
I do agree that there is nothing memorable about the song, just another generic chase for a hit record.

Maroon 5 ain’t late cause they did similar tracks before on previous albums…but this is a cute simple song which is gonna chart regardless! Radio is gonna love this cause it’s catchy as hell

This is cute though… I wish they would give me some “she will be loved vibes.” I miss early 2000’s music
