Packing a double whammy in the form of ‘Empire’s season 3 return and the series premiere of the Sanaa Lathan-led ‘Shots Fired,’ Wednesday (March 22) proved itself to be a big night for the good folks at FOX.
Details inside:
As the charts above reveal, both series dominated ratings in their respective time slots. ‘Fired,’ though edged out by ‘Survivor’ in overall ratings, came as the highest watched non-reality show series of its hour (and the most watched new program of the evening).
Elsewhere, Cookie, Jamal, Hakeem, Lucious, and the gang not only left their nearest competition (for the hour) in the dust, but were just a few points shy of dominating the entire night’s ratings.
Congratz to both series and here’s hoping to their sustained successes!
I’m bored of this show now 🙁
Me too.
Remy ma was during her thing this episode! Slay
I can’t believe survivor is still slaying the competition after all these years
Okay
What channel can I watch on Google Fiber? ✌??
I thought more people watched modern family.
It was a re-run
How is Empire only slightly ahead of Criminal Minds in total viewers when Empire has a much higher rating/share in the same time slot?
Advertisers only care about the 18-49 demographic. Criminal Minds attracts more viewers overall but they’re older (49 And up) so Empire is considered the ratings winner in the demo advertisers most desire.
