Tamar Braxton is continuing to dig into her discography and create videos for unreleased gems.
The latest is ‘Pieces’ from her 2013 breakthrough album ‘Love & War.’
Produced by Bryan Michael Cox, the emotional piano ballad has long been a fan-favorite and now has an accompanying visual that’ll cement that the more.
Check it out below…
Granted this lacked the gloss of similar themed visuals (see: ‘We Belong Together’), we can’t but give kudos to Tamar for being unapologetic in the push of her work – both past and present.
‘Pieces’ is an amazing track and deserved the single treatment way back when. So, as the age old adage goes – better late than never.
MY FAVORITE SONG FROM HER PERIOD..
Wow that’s a nice song…
Should have been a single
Now THIS one is one of my favorites from the album! With streaming now the primary way people consume music no it isnt too latw to reap benefits from old tracks with a little ingenuity. Glad to see Tamar getting back to the music…
You make an excellent point here. It actually does make sense for Tamar to give her fans and the larger market a fresh look at some of her material that didn’t get a strong promotional push when their parent albums were first released. In addition to streaming, there could also be significant YouTube money from these videos.
I can only imagine how frustrated Tamar was by not having her pushed as she would have liked, but that’s label politics.
I hope this becomes a new trend. Artists rehashing fan-favorite album cuts into music videos. I know it costs money, but these can be collector items. Go, Tamar!
Dis my s***. So happy to see Tamar giving love to some of my favorite songs from her lately. I want videos for coming home and broken record next ???
As much as it’s good to see videos for songs that previously didn’t have one – I’d love to know why this is happening with Taytay. Videos are produced to sell singles and albums – I know sometimes a video her and there never makes it to debut – but this many? Perhaps when she left her label she made a deal to be able to share unreleased videos at a later date – but it isn’t cost effective from a labels point of view to withhold the release of this many videos.
I doubt this will be a trend anytime soon unless labels all of a sudden got money to burn (which they don’t) ??♂️
Because she independent now through eOne and is giving the fans what they want.
doing the MOST with the ABSOLUTE LEAST….
I always wished artists would do this
