Now, as the European working day begins, the writer has learned that she has sold over 15 million albums worldwide.
Good news below…
Though her work is yet to see her secure a Grammy or Billboard Hot 100 #1, the entertainer’s pure sales (sales generated solely by purchases) made her by the highest-selling female rapper of all time long before 2014…the year in which streaming figures were slipped into the sales mix.
These pure sales account for the lion’s share of the 8,000,000 albums she has sold to American fans since 2010 and, as she now learned, for the 15,000,000 albums (and counting) she’s sold globally.
As for the rapper’s global sales figure (singles and albums)?
North of 150 million.
100 million units rising from the United States and the additional 50 soaring from Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
