So the NFL is forming an entertainment and "social justice" partnership with Jay-Z and his Roc Nation agency.
Jay Z hasn't spoken with Colin Kaepernick about this and yet says he was an "inspiration."

Jay-Z teamed up with the National Football League to help it rectify its mistakes and use its resources to bring positive change in the communities most affected the injustices Colin has been defending selflessly and tirelessly.
Nessa, Colin’s other half, sees it differently.

So really, how can Jay-Z and the NFL utter social justice in their partnership while keeping Colin unemployed because of his social justice work. It’s typical for the NFL to buy different PR looks to cover up their dirt-that’s nothing new. But what is disgusting and disappointing is Jay-Z let them use him. Whether Jay-Z knew it or not (I don’t doubt his intelligence-so I would think he knew) he helped the NFL bury who he said is an iconic figure, Colin Kaepernick.
Don’t tell me there’s a “master plan and wait for it” because the ONLY reason anything would ever change is because THE PEOPLE are loud and clear and won’t let the league buy their loyalty with their disingenuous moves. The people are letting the league and anyone who works with them know that they aren’t buying the bs.

There’s really no need for anyone with sense to go back and forth on here because the truth is apparent. Jay wanted good press so turned the Super Bowl down but didn’t want to be affected by his decision so went back to them with his 50 year old tale between his legs and thinks presenting it as a “smart deal” will convince those of us who remember who he was before Mathew and Bey helped him clean his image up. Celebrities should not be your social champions. Jay Z is no more responsible for condemning the NFL than anybody else. When is the last time y’all went outside with picket signs to protest the league, because by the logic here, every single game is a protest opportunity that I know y’all aren’t committed to, and when have you organized to collectively condemn the near 70% black players that didn’t leave because Kaep doesn’t have a job? Jay Z is a fake activist and y’all are fake mad about it.
But celebrities benefit financially when they position themselves as social justice champions. Do you think he could have released 4:44 in 2011? Because celebrities can only self identify themselves as champions when they have the support of the support of the community by and large. So if Jay Z spending the last few years out of his DECADES long career, pandering to you with an artificial image of support with a few socially charged songs and statements convinced you that he was genuine, then YOU are a part of the problem as well. The truth is that a lot people expect celebrities to do the work for them and have no problem accepting them as the mouthpiece of the community until they say/so something that you don’t agree with anymore. Take the people in this comment section for example. They’ve clearly aligned themselves with this issue. They clearly have access to a computer. So. What have YOU organized with the resources you have to prove that you’re more committed to this cause than Jay z or anybody else?? Think bigger black people! Kap starting this kneeling movement but where has He really gotten with this form of protest? Nowhere! The changes Kap wanted really need to start from inside the NFL, within the Organization. Why shouldn’t Jay Z champion this opportunity? If it was any other Black man who was given this opportunity would you all respond the same way? Make no mistake Jay has done his part in trying to rectify injustices as He sees fit.
