Michael B. Jordan has his eye on the Superman movie empire.

Warner Bros. is interested in finding innovative new ways to tell its long-running stories and are in talks with Jordan after learning that he was interested in playing the legendary hero Superman.
To help find a way to make Superman relevant to modern audiences, studio brass has been polling lots of high-profile talent. There have been discussions with J.J. Abrams, whose company Bad Robot recently signed a massive first-look deal with the studio, and there was a meeting with Michael B. Jordan earlier this year with the ‘Creed’ star pitching Warners on a vision for the character.
Nothing is set in stone at the moment as a new Superman movie is years away from being released.
Henry Cavill is the latest actor to slide into the iconic character’s shoes.

Black Panther is a movie about a great African civilization that has not been penetrated by Europeans. It is literally a racially motivated plot so your argument doesn’t hold up. Superman isn’t really a racialized character. With that said MBJ can’t act. I just wNt him to go away

It’s the same deal with Disney. Ok they’ve been doing efforts in portraying different cultures and backgrounds with Pocahontas, The Princess and the Frog, Moana, Coco etc. Keep creating new roles, don’t switch things around.

Bad idea I’m not here for it! Michael B was awesome in black panther but he sucked in Fantastic four. He’s just not a believable Superman for me! Unless they are introducing a different Superman for example Superboy-Prime or justice lord. I would almost them prefer for them to cast a Latino Superman because there is a Latino Superman…Superman (Hernan Guerra). Or tell the story of the Asian Superman Kong Kenyan.
Inclusivity doesn’t have to just be casting African American people. There’s so Many different people of color. And so many more stories to tell.
I’m black and it just wont be right. He another will smith every character he plays is the same. I wouldn’t want to see him as Superman. Now, maybe doomsday will be a better role for him. At least he be close to being Superman as doomsday

Hollywood wants to keep the narrative intact: Italians are mobsters, Latinos drug traffickers, Arabs terrorists, Asians in need of Jesus to take the wheel, Black men pimps/ abusive/ deadbeat dads and women hoochies, Ashkenazi Jews meek victims, while Whites s*** roses and p*** cologne. ? That said, let’s not affirmative-action the s*** outta hiring black actors for any role. Audiences need variety. Monopolizing theatre screens with one race will cause saturation and plummet said-race’s audience attracting and tickets selling power within half a dozen years. The same applies to hiring a gender to play a role immortalized in our consciousness as the opposite gender. Enough actresses are butching it up for movie roles as is: Blanchett & Bullock in Ocean’s 8, Stewart in Charlie’s Angels, etc.
