With Danity Kane stars Aubrey O’Day and Dawn Richard releasing three songs together this month, many are wondering what this means for the future of the group.
Last year saw the DK ladies reunite for the ‘Universe Is Undefeated Tour,’ with the line-up at the time consisting of O’Day, Richard, and Shannon Bex. The same ensemble who helmed the group’s last album ‘DK3.’
However, with this latest flow of material – all of which has been rolled out on the “Danity Kane” artist accounts – O’Day and Richard have headlined as a duo.
Naturally, it’s left many loyalists wondering what the tea is is.
Well, in a recent Instagram post, O’Day spilled all.

Speaking candidly, the 36-year-old touted her stance that Danity Kane isn’t its sum of members at the time but rather a movement. One that works with many different configurations.
As for the whereabouts of Bex, she is getting her businesswoman on as part of the founders of Voot – a streaming service aimed at children. We hear it’s doing very well too.
With Aubrey laying the confusion to rest, it’s safe to assume it may be some time before we see a more robust line-up in the manner the masses are used to from DK.
One day-some day, here’s hoping we do see a fuller regrouping of sorts. Because, while we appreciate the influx of “Aubrey x Dawn” material, there’s a certain magic that ignites when more of the ladies are in the mix.
