Keeping a low profile since the November 2019 release of her last single, ‘Whatchusay,’ the 34-year-old’s returned guns blazing with a new single, ‘HMU,’ and equally hot music video to accompany it.
Said to be featured on her sophomore LP, ‘Drunken Wordz x Sober Thoughtz’ (due on shelves next month), ‘HMU’ comes as her first single of 2020 courtesy of Groundwērk/Entertainment One (eOne).
“I refuse to let it go, you know it’s all yours / We fuck it up, when we get close, it’s perfect timin’ / I was ’bout my business / Until my heart fell in it / Hit me up,” she sings on the Smash David-produced track.

How is she able (as a solo artist) to record music and shoot videos but June’s Diary can’t? They missed their chance.
Because Sevyn writes, produces and finances herself. She’s already established as a songwriter. June’s Diary is a 5 member group. While talented, no ones checking for that and no label is signing them.

This woman is extremely underrated. She’s been writing and doing vocals for breezy for years. And her music is amazing. Her last album, Girl disrupted was a great album from front to back. I don’t know why she’s not being pushed. Most likely being gate kept by Beyonce but who knows.
