Ellen DeGeneres has now publicly addressed the reports of mistreatment and misconduct that occurred behind the scenes on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show.’
She addressed the reports in a seven-minute monologue to open the show.
Her words below:
“As you may have heard, this summer there were allegations of a toxic work environment at our show and then there was an investigation. I learned that things happened here that never should have happened. I take that every seriously and I want to say I am so sorry to the people that were affected. I know that I am in a position of privilege and power and with that comes responsibility and I take responsibility for what happens at my show.”
This was the first time that the talk show host addressed the reports on her show that emerged in mid-July.

I was disgusted by Ellen long ago when she tried peer pressuring Mariah to reveal her first pregnancy only to have miscarriage days later smh…. that s*** was awful as I know the pain as my best friend experienced losing her second unborn child. Thankfully to God she was blessed with a boy a year later but overall that is such a loss no mother or woman would want to experience

Ellen could not have predicted what would happen, and like Ellen’s people said, Mariah returned to the show multiple times after that. Lets wait and see if Mariah affords other people the same courtesy she expected from Ellen when her memoir is released.
