Chloe x Halle are breathing shimmering new life into a Nigerian folktale.
The sister duo appears in Vogue‘s March 2021 issue, where filmmaker Julie Dash framed them with one very old story: A folktale that has been passed down by the Efik people of southeastern Nigeria about why the sun and moon live in the sky.
The video was shot on California’s picturesque Little Corona del Mar Beach.
Speaking of the project Dash said:
“The filming was physically grueling. Chloe and Halle had to walk half a mile across a stoney beach, wearing long gowns, in the cold morning and later in the heat. I don’t think they knew they were going to get wet, too!”
“They never complained. I was very familiar with the sisters, but did not know how sweet they were!”

We are cancelling any negative energy from anything named c***** ….so bye h***… go do a sacrifice elsewhere
they are amazing and so wonderful for 2 girls who are so young
This was Amazing production to work on. I have to agree with Julie Dash when she said that Halle and Chloe were so sweet, and so easy to work with. I helped prep the production as 1st Assistant Director, BlackEye Vision Entertainment, Inc. I also shot all the drone footage, BlackSky Vision Entertainment. I am Very proud of the video, and even more proud that Vogue used my images in the magazine March Issue 2021 “CREATIVITY”
