As one of the best-selling recording artists of all-time, Celine Dion is no stranger to collecting certification plaques from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
One of few female artists to boast earning multiple Diamond-selling albums over her illustrious career, the international diva’s hit-filled catalog knows few rivals across music history – a truth cemented by the ongoing success of some of her beloved classics over 20 years after their respective releases.
See what we mean inside:
Dion’s ‘Heart Will Go On’ may be lodged in Pop culture history as her signature song, but the GRAMMY winner sailed to the top of charts many times before that ‘Titanic’ hit made its first splash. Her first Stateside blockbuster, 1996’s ‘Falling Into You’ LP, was certified Diamond by the RIAA before the close of the following year. The mark denotes sales of 10 million in the United States.
On March 3, 2021 – nearly 25 years after the official debut of ‘Falling’ – the album was certified 12x Platinum, meaning it’s sold 12 million copies in the United States alone. The updated certification pushes its worldwide total over the 32 million sold mark.
What’s more, the top-selling hits contained on the project – ‘It’s All Coming Back to Me Now’ and ‘Because You Loved Me’ – received love from the RIAA as well as they’re both now at 2x Platinum status. One of the most famous entries in her prized catalog, the GRAMMY-winning ‘Because’ – written by Diane Warren and produced by David Foster for the ‘Up Close and Personal’ movie soundtrack – was also nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

She’s a hell of a singer. But her music has always been so plain. Same goes with her productions and harmonies. That’s why I never got into her music, even tho I do enjoy some songs. But millions of people love her and she’s having an admirable career, she always seems down to earth, so kudos to her.
Finally… there are some white posts 💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿 Guess TGJ ain’t a racist site 🤳🏿🤳🏿
