Billie Eilish Becomes Youngest ‘Visual Media’ GRAMMY Winner Ever

Published: Sunday 14th Mar 2021 by Rashad

At just 19-years-young, Billie Eilish – already penciled in GRAMMY history for her epic sweep of the 62nd annual ceremony (click here to read more) – has gained yet another mention in the show’s record books.

See how inside:

Eilish took home Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Song of the Year awards at the GRAMMY’s 2020 edition and stood to do the same at this year’s ceremony as she’s nominated in the same categories – this time for her hit ‘Everything I Wanted.’

Unlike last year, the 19-year-old was also listed in 2021’s ‘Best Song Written for Visual Media’ category for her hit ‘No Time To Die’ (found aboard the soundtrack of the latest installment of the James Bond franchise).

During the 2021 GRAMMY pre-show, Eilish learned the tune – co-written by her brother Finneas O’Connell – had defeated Andrew LLoyd Webber and Taylor Swift (‘Beautiful Ghosts’ for ‘Cats’), Brandi Carlile (‘Carried Me With You’ for ‘Onward’), Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (‘Into the Unknown’ for ‘Frozen II’), and Cynthia Erivo (‘Stand Up’ for ‘Harriet’) to nab the prize.

The sixth win of her career, Billie is now the youngest owner of a trophy from the ‘Visual Media’ GRAMMY category.  Though she lost out on Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year, she did nab the trophy for Record of the Year.  Click here to read more.

The movie is not even out, so how did she win best song written for a movie that’s not even released yet

    This is silly.

…because the song came out over a year ago. Doesn’t matter when the movie comes out since the movie isn’t being nominated. Like…this was a serious question???

        Dumb àss,

For a theme song of a movie to be nominated for an award, the song has to be played during the movie.

That’s why the Oscar’s isn’t nominating this song this year, cause that james bond movie hasnt been released yet.

⬆️⬆️ Clearly those aren’t the Grammy’s rules if she won the damn award stupid.

Sweetness, are the Grammys nominated movies or songs? It doesn’t matter when the movie comes out or will the song align with the films release, it was eligible for nominations. Anymore questions dumb ass? You’re so upset to be wrong, yet again…per usual!
