The music industry was rocked late Friday (September 24) with news GRAMMY-nominated songstress Kelly Price was declared missing shortly after being released from a hospital following a battle with COVID-19.
After the singer’s children claimed her boyfriend blocked them from visiting her home, they called on authorities to launch an official investigation including a wellness check.
And despite Price’s current listing on the National Crime Information Center as a missing person (as of time reported), a rep has come forward to suggest she is safe.
Details inside:
“Monica Ewing, Kelly’s rep/attorney, [said] the singer is continuing to recover from COVID at an undisclosed location.
[The] rep reached out to Cobb County police to notify law enforcement Kelly is accounted for…”

When quizzed on why Price has not spoken to her children (or the public) about her safety and wellness, Ewing did not directly answer but did reiterate the ‘As We Lay’ diva is safe, still recovering from COVID, and will address the public at a later date.
The sentiment was co-signed by legendary singer Melba Moore, who took to Instagram to express her disappointment with the way the press has covered the story.
