‘Focus,’ the first Billboard #1 hit of Academy and GRAMMY Award-winning songstress H.E.R., continues to etch milestones in her story nearly four years after its debut.
Details inside:
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) took to press Friday (February 4) to announce ‘Focus’ had found footing on the north side of the organization’s threshold for 2x Platinum status, an accomplishment that refers to sales equivalence of 2 million units in the United States.
Released in 2016 aboard the ‘H.E.R. Vol. 1’ EP, the tune – co-produced by DJ Camper – peaked atop Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart at the height of its popularity.
‘Focus’ is now the fourth tune of H.E.R.’s to be certified as high or higher and follows the similar successes of 2017’s ‘Best Part’ (5x Platinum), 2018’s ‘Could’ve Been’ (2x Platinum), and 2019’s ‘Slide’ (3x Platinum).
