Sherri Shepherd is ready for her moment. Because it’s a moment that has been working toward for almost two decades.
As reported, the TV veteran has landed her own daytime talk show, which is launching this Fall on Fox. Notably in the coveted slot soon to be vacated by Wendy Williams.
Speaking with That Grape Juice‘s Shar Jossell at the 2022 African-American Film Critics Association Awards, Shepherd – who was on hand to present an honor to Jennifer Hudson – opened up about her layered journey to this point.
She also spoke candidly on what to expect from her show.
Check out the interview above and stay tuned for more from the red carpet at the AAFCA Awards.
Hi Sam! Excellent interviewee. Here are some tips for next time:
1. Clean off your f****** lens for God’s sake! You got Sherri looking like she was filmed on a Nokia phone.
2. Fix y’alls lights. Idk how many times we gotta tell you.
3. Tell your host to stand back a few inches. Her immense body frame covered half of the shot.
I’ll have more tips for you next time. C for effort tho 👏🏽
It won’t last. Ask Nick Cannon.
She’s no Wendy Williams…. Funny shaped self.
I like to have seen Monique or niecy Nash host the show.
Sherry can act fake shocked all she wants, her new show is DOA. Cute wig though
I’m excepting to be cancelled after the 2nd season because one she isn’t Wendy and second her first season will do bad and production will feel bad and have her down another season until it crashes and burns
