After making a splash with critics via their 2021 collaboration ‘Seaside’ (as we reported here), legendary award-winning songwriter Diane Warren teams with award-winning songstress Rita Ora to repeat the feat.
Their new joint effort, titled ‘Finish Line,’ races to digital shelves Friday (May 13) and shines as a standout contribution to the soundtrack for ’37 Words’ – a four-part ESPN docuseries from acclaimed filmmakers Nicole Newnham and Dawn Porter.
Part of The Walt Disney Company’s ‘Fifty/50’ initiative, the female-empowering ‘Finish Line’ helps Disney commemorate movement the 50th anniversary of the passing of Title IX which is a federal civil rights law that prohibits sex-based discrimination in any educational institution that receives federal funding. It was a groundbreaking decision that gave women equal opportunity in sports and other collegiate-sanctioned activity.
Ahead of its music video premiere, look inside for your first listen to ‘Finish.’
I really like Diane and Rita is one of my favorite voices, but this song just isn’t it for me. I’ll keep waiting for Rita’s new album.

More like Monica da has-been.
Why people still collaborate with Diane is beyond me. Her songs alwaya have the lyrical and sonic content of an early 2000s Disney movie 😩 Get some ghostwriters Diane
