Since its launch during lockdown, VERZUZ has never been short on delivering moments and its latest showdown lived up to that billing.
Omarion and Mario did battle and the spar was memorable for a whole host of reasons.
Full story below…
Embracing the new live performance format, the R&B crooners locked horns with spirited renditions of hits such as ‘O,’ ‘Ice Box,’ ‘Let Me Love You’ and ‘Crying Out For Me.’
And as is customary, viewers did not hold back with their views realtime – with everything from vocals (see: Omarion) to dance moves (see: Omarion) to a watermelon (see: Omarion) being dissected with scientific granularity.
Mario also sprung a surprise by bringing out O’s B2K band members for a performance.
Elsewhere, “Bonus Battle” competitors Ray J, Bobbie V, Sammie brought the hilarity with drama over duplicate showings of ‘One Wish.’
Enough from us, though. Check out highlights from one of the more dramatic VERZUZ showings in a while.

That was a fun Verzuz to watch. All of them were drunk and off key except MARIO’s fine ass. He can serenade me anyday. He aged like fine wine ommmggggg I’m leaking
You told no lies! That man is fine af.
Y’all a bunch of nasty thirsty h o e s💅🏾
Sammie got a little fat booty
A shyyyyt show. Mario was a knockout winner since the second song
This Versuz demonstrated the difference between studio singers who perform and singers who also perform.
Or just bitter egotistical has beens who didn’t take care of their gifts. Not to mention they were strutting around stage drinking liquor which dries out your vocal chords. I couldn’t believe how horrible Ray J sounded. I know Brandy was backstage judging his barely there vocals. They shoulda added Lloyd into the mix. Like Mario, he’s actually serious about his craft.
Lloyd should’ve definitely been added! 💯
What a bunch of street gangs…. Messsss 💅🏾
it was a mess Mario was the winner of the night the rest of them disastereeerr..
I was really surprised that Ray J chose to expose his voice the way he did. I don’t know if he ever sang “Let It Go” (my favorite song from him) because I felt so bad for him that I had to mute the video during some of his parts. He’s not the only one: Sammie, Bobby and Pleasure all had their limits. Omarion’s voice wasn’t as bad as people were saying in the chat.
One thing I really hated was how the singers were encouraged to push friendly banter over the line. These are grown men, but they acted like kids taking shots at each other in the back of the school bus. Sammie and Mario were the worst. Bad thing for Mario is that some people were discovering him for the first time and probably got the wrong impression. I shook hands with him and heard him talk for like 30-40 minutes, so I know he’s not the arrogant and boastful person people saw last night. He let himself get caught up in whatever the promoters have turned Verzuz into. Stop making it a comedy roast and just let these people sing.
Stfu
No lie 🤣 but ‘Let it Go’ is still my bop tho!
verzuz has really fallen off…
Nostalgic, messy, and entertaining as hell 😂
Glad I never spent my coins to see any of them. This is why Usher is the KING!!! He is a PROFESSIONAL!!!!
