Three months after capturing his historic 16th Billboard 200 top 10 hit with ‘King’s Disease III,’ legendary rapper Nas is looking to return the set to its former glory by dropping the music video for its housed cut, ‘30.’
Directed by Sarah McColgan, the black-and-white, cinematic visual sees the 49-year-old toasting to the longevity of his career while spitting the tune’s hard-hitting lyrics from a series of symbolic locations including a mountaintop.
“Superhero material, rap star status/ Premier album still might happen/ I wonder why Pete Rock would act like that/ That type of behavior make me give rap right back (30)/ And now I can’t tell if all the good that I did’s being hid with they agenda again, ni**a,” he raps over the Hit-Boy-produced joint.
Sure to be one of many jams he’ll be performing as co-headliner of the Wu-Tang Clan‘s forthcoming international tour, look inside to see the official ’30’ music video.
