Tyler Perry is expanding his Netflix slate with the psychological thriller ‘Confabulation.’

Lucien Laviscount, Taylour Paige, and Shamier Anderson will lead the newly announced movie, which blends romance, obsession, and fractured memory.

Per Netflix’s official announcement, Laviscount plays a troubled firefighter who becomes fixated on rescuing a former love from her powerful husband.

As his memories become increasingly unreliable, the character must determine whether he is uncovering a dangerous truth or losing his grip on reality.

Nadine Ellis, Peter Parros, Najah Bradley, Mikeal Dwayne, Jenna Nolen, Michelle Núñez, Colin McCalla, and Shelley Robertson round out the cast.

Perry will write and direct the film while producing alongside Angi Bones and Tony Strickland.

Netflix has not yet announced a release date.

The mogul’s pipeline remains stacked. He recently reunited the familiar ensemble of ‘Why Did I Get Married Again?’ and launched the MaxScene production division.

With three compelling leads and a darker premise, ‘Confabulation’ could offer an intriguing new shade of Perry’s Netflix universe.
