Chloe Bailey and Chris Brown may already know how it feels to see their names printed in the Billboard Hot 100 for their respective past hits, but early response to their new joint effort, the Hitmaka-produced ‘How Does It Feel,’ suggests the dynamic duo are about to be reintroduced to the feeling.
See what we mean inside.
The Dionne Warwick-sampling jam may have been preceded by controversy ahead of its February 24 arrival to digital shelves, but the naysayers were hushed once they got a load of the tune and its steamy music video.
Soaring on real-time digital charts in the days that followed, the end of the song’s inaugural sales tracking period packed enough punch to premiere it at #7 on the current R&B digital sales chart – making it the week’s top-selling new song on the tally.

Despite the strong debut, which was accompanied by a handsome first-week performance on major streaming platforms, ‘Feel’ failed to crack the Hot 100 this week – opening at #10 on the Bubbling Under chart.
Likely due to absence at radio, the tune’s increased presence on the format in the coming weeks is expected to give just the boost needed to become Bailey’s next charting single ahead of the March 31 release of its official parent album, ‘In Pieces.’
This album will likely be DOA with this trajectory. Yikes
Setting her up to get dragged lol she’s still dropping an album before Normani
What a well worded reach.
The song did nothing. It’s one of the only “new”Rnb songs of the weeks, so….. it’s on the chart. Not number one or top 5 of any major chart at all. 😔
It not a top song of anything really, yet
Exactly! I was reading a different article on another site with a similar heading. Once you actually start reading you find out it didn’t even place on the Billboard 100 chart. And nobody buys music, they stream it. So the number of people who actually purchased the song and charged the payment on their debit card could be 50 people total. And it would be considered high….on the R&B sales chart. I’m dying to know how the album sells. This child has been FORCED down our throats, and Noone cares. However once her sister Halle launches this movie, she probably gonna be the biggest most successful singer in years. They’ve been keeping her hidden for a reason.
I disagree with the notion on here that Chloe has been forced down our throats but I agree that it seems she is being set up to fail. I want better for her but maybe the answer is getting away from Parkwood…she is talented but her team has not conveyed her solo musical voice.
Keith, Thank you for respectfully disagreeing with me. Perhaps I was a bit harsh and forced is also a strong word. Shes definitely is beautiful and has talent but for some reason she’s not clicking with the buying public. I do agree with you that getting away from Parkwood may help her find her own voice. Having such a close proximity to Beyonce can be a double edge sword.
Parkwood is the reason she’s been given all of these major opportunities (and chances to flop). Parkwood clearly believes in her talent or else they would have dropped her a long time ago. Any other label would try to change her or drop her. She doesn’t stand a chance going indie either.
She has talent, that can’t be denied, but the music is all so bland, boring and unmemorable. I couldn’t get through the first half of the song/video without feeling irritated by it and having to switch it off.
Jealous much?
Not at all. She just needs better songs. How is that jealousy, saying I want her to do better and be successful?
Chloe is talented but the music sucks. She needs to polishing and to find one strong producer to work with….
Normani, where u at? We need to call FBI for her vanish ass
