Last night (July 7), one of the most respected and hands down one of the richest men in hip-hp, rapper Jay-Z held a private listening party in New York City for his upcoming joint album with Kanye West, ‘Watch The Throne’. Hova released a few details including the slight possibility of a music video for the duo’s song ‘Lift Off’ featuring Beyonce, collaborations with Frank Ocean, his upcoming solo project, and more.

Though, he wouldn’t spill the news on the set’s much speculated release date, he insisted the album is coming “soon”. The rapper suggested a video for ‘Lift Off’ a collaboration with wife Beyonce could appear, but that he was reluctant to follow a traditional, single driven release for “Watch The Throne.” Of the eleven songs played last night, R&B newcomer and Odd Future affiliate Frank Ocean appears on two. Jay-Z also confirmed that he was two songs deep into his own solo project and that Frank Ocean is featured on one of them.

I was actually really looking forward to this album. I’m not a big fan of Joe Camel, but he is a dope rapper & Kanye is my dude & there is no doubt that they could come up with some hot records. I actually really liked ‘HAM” & I figured it would have done better on the charts. Oh well.
I’m surprised nothing else has leaked yet from the album since people are leaking ish left & right now a days. I need to hear something else from the album though before I decide if I want to buy it. Maybe it will leak closer to the release date cause that’s seems to be how it usually works.

LMAO! Cute theory but I doubt that’s why he took a shot at Chris. I think since CB already had beef with Tyler & those other gorrila looking mofo’s from OF, Frank was remaining loyal to his fellow group mates. I think since Frank has worked with so many high profile artist & is getting a lot of attention he grew some balls & thought he could shade CB & there would be no backlash. Frank is an idiot cause while he is on the come up & could have a successful career, those other 50 members of OF will remain irrelevant & if he had any sense he would distance hisself from those fools.
I really doubt that Jay is sitting around worrying about how to sabotage CB’s career either! People have been saying that since 2009, but if Joe Camel has tried to ruin CB clearly it hasn’t worked! I mean people said that Jay tried to help Trey take CB’s spot when he brought him on tour with him last year but did that work? No! No one can take CB’s spot & even if Joe Camel is trying to put Frank on that won’t hinder CB’s success!
Like I’ve said before, I won’t be finacially supporting his ass & I will continue to throw shade but he is a talented songwriter so I’m not suprised people want to work him. I ddubt he will ever be as successful as CB so I’m not phased by him.
