In news just in, Kesha and Dr. Luke have sensationally settled their long-running defamation battle over rape allegations that singer made against the hit-making producer.

The dramatic twist comes little over a week after Kesha scored a big win in a New York court that analysts say would have rendered Dr. Luke’s defamation case difficult to proceed with.

As covered extensively, the producer argued that  Kesha legally defamed him in 2014 when she made a “false and shocking” accusation that he allegedly drugged and raped her after a party in 2005.

The pair have been locked in an arduous legal wrangle for almost a decade and were set to trial in a mere matter of weeks.

Now, today’s settlement ends that near 10-year battle – out of court.

A joint settlement statement from the former collaborators was released moments ago and read:

“Only god knows what happened that night. As I have always said, I cannot recount everything that happened. I am looking forward to closing the door on this chapter of my life and beginning a new one. I wish nothing but peace to all parties involved.

“While I appreciate Kesha again acknowledging that she cannot recount what happened that night in 2005, 1 am absolutely certain that nothing happened.I never drugged or assaulted her and would never do that to anyone. For the sake of my family, I have vigorously fought to clear my name for nearly 10 years. It is time for me to put this difficult matter behind me and move on with my life. I wish Kesha well.
