Yet, in a surprising twist, Tayla Parx – a songwriter she worked with on the project (and past hits) – has publicly claimed to have not received credit for her work this go round.
The move was not met favorably by fans of the ‘Candy Paint’ singer, who pointed to several interesting points.

Parx ignited ample discourse when taking to Twitter/X to allege that she wasn’t credited for co-producing the song ‘Insomnia.’
The creative, who has previously co-written Normani’s hits ‘Love Lies’ and ‘Dancing with a Stranger,’ wrote the following in response to a clip of Normani praising her for penning the new song:
“It’s crazy cause I haven’t listened to the album yet and this is how I’m finding out I’m on it … no credit, no business done. People that I’ve known forever. Just dropped my sh*t and left me off lol 💀 okayyy! #taylamade”
