‘Outside‘ hitmaker Cardi B is about to find herself inside a courtroom if an allegedly assaulted Jane Doe has her way.
As reported here, Cardi (born Belcalis Almanzar) made headlines when she threw a microphone into a crowd after a concertgoer tossed water on her while she was performing at Drais Las Vegas two years ago.
And though Almanzar was later cleared of criminal battery charges, the person allegedly hit by the flying mic is taking the civil route and suing the GRAMMY winner for assault, battery, and emotional distress.
The woman – who is going by “Jane Doe” to protect her identity – claims she was merely responding to the rapper’s request for water to be tossed on her (as seen in the video above), but was retaliated against for obliging.
At the time of this report the specified remedy for the claims of damage have not been made public.
Relive the shocking incident below.
Cardi has yet to make a public statement on the matter.
