Beyonce fans (affectionately called the #Beyhive) may have been buzzing after seeing the music diva’s latest Levi’s ad, but there’s one critic who wasn’t exactly impressed with what she saw: Megyn Kelly.
Kelly, who previously ruffled the feathers of the #Beyhive for saying Bey was the “most overrated artist of all time,” landed in the fan group’s bad graces again earlier this summer for blasting the diva’s use of footage from the ‘Megyn Kelly Show’ during the ‘Cowboy Carter Tour.’
Now, she’s back on their hitlist for criticizing the singer’s Levi’s commercial and comparing it to the controversy cloaked American Eagle ad starring Sydney Sweeney.
“This [Levi’s ad] is the opposite of the Sydney Sweeney ad,” Megyn said on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Tuesday (August 5). “Quite clearly there is nothing natural about Beyonce. Everything – from her image to her fame to her success to her look below – is bought and paid for. Screams artificial, fake, enhanced, trying too hard.”
At writing, Bey nor a rep from her camp has responded to Kelly’s criticism.
The commentary from the cultural and political commentator comes amid detraction for the American Eagle campaign of Sweeney’s which many argue has racist undertones.
President Trump recently weighed in and defended the actress over her collaboration with the jean makers by saying “being woke is for losers.”
