‘WAP‘ hitmaker Cardi B caught a wave of controversy recently after slamming her own beloved fans (affectionately called the #BardiGang) as “fat as f-ck” during a live session on social media – leading some of those supporters to brand her “fatphobic” for the insensitive commentary.
As the heat rises around her statements (which she later clarified were jokes), Cardi (born Belcalis Almánzar) is standing on her initial comments and making clear those who were offended shouldn’t expect an apology.

As reported here, the GRAMMY winner – hot on the promo trail for her September-due new album ‘Am I the Drama‘ – took to social media to share updates about related merchandise.
One of those updates was that all 3x-sized t-shirt apparel had sold out quicker than its smaller counterparts, much to the surprise of Almanzar who was unaware she had so many plus-sized supporters.
“So the box sets are completely sold out, especially because you fat f-cks—clearly you guys are fat as f-ck, no Chick-fil-A for y’all,” she told viewers at the time before sharing, “Now, knowing that my fans is fat—I can’t even make fun of fat people no more. Don’t call me fatphobic, y’all, ‘cause everybody make fun of my BBL.”
The comments were met with staunch criticism from some who asserted her statements weren’t the most sensitive to purchasers.
Once word of the backlash got to her desk, she took to Tik Tok on Friday (August 8) to address the hoopla.
“It was an innocent joke between me and my fans…it’s not that serious,” Cardi said of the critics who have branded her “fatphobic.” “Especially when it comes to me, I make fun of everybody. I don’t care if you fat, skinny, BBL down, got big feet, got small feet, whatever. As long as you don’t stink, I don’t give a damn.”
Later in the clip, the ‘I Like It’ hitmaker – after jokingly saying people are “BBL-phobic” to her due to their ongoing chatter about her surgically enhanced buttocks – clarified she has no intention on backtracking her initial statement.
“I’m not going to apologize because y’all are sensitive and wanna cry about some dumb sh-t. Every day y’all wanna cry about some dumb sh-t,” she relayed.
