However, the basic hook coupled with Mama’s cliche lyrics make this just another braggadocios Rap number that will be sure to gather dust on many an Itunes library for years to come.
If she really wants to be taken seriously as an entertainer, it’s high time Ms. Kirkland delivers something fresh and unique. Perhaps teaming up with her so called mentor Swizz Beatz would do the trick.

😮 This is actually good.It’s far from show stopping, but it’s a VERY enjoyable cut.Lyrically, it sums up all the elements of a modern female rapper; a real hustler.And it has a good beat and a catchy chorus, her flow is good and her delivery is solid.It’s actually better than some of the tracks that have done well on Urban radio (Rick Ross, Lil Wayne etc).I’m really surprised.

I am a big fan of female rap. I love old school heads like Queen Pen, Rah Digga, Da Brat, EVE, Missy, Kim, Bahamadia and other chicks who stayed slaying and I pray for their return or some new blood like Nicki who is doing her thing whether YOU like it or not. Lil Mama is a very very good female MC. I really enjoy her tone of voice, her flow/delivery, and her lyrics. Ever since L.I.F.E. she has been making music that has positively showcased her skill as a rapper. The unfortunate thing about Mama is her strategy. As far as I am concerned she is branding herself incorrectly. I don’t care WHO did it first but the colourful wigs ain’t cuttin’ it. We already have a chick in the game who wears colourful hair (many chicks actually). Mama needs to change up her aesthetic. Ironically, this industry is very visual and if you look a hot mess, no one is going to even bother with you (sad but true). Next, she needs to stop talking and let her music do the talking for her. I mean seriously, NO PRESS. No interviews, no hosting gigs, just music – period. At least for a little while. In interviews, I find that Mama has a tendency to say a lot of cliche statements that sound good when said one after the other, but really, she ain’t saying much. Her life and music need to set the foundation for who she is and then she can build from there and get into other endeavours… like lip gloss?
