Lizzo is expressing defeat after her last studio album, the June 5-released ‘B*tch,’ not only debuted to her lowest first-week sales to date but missed the Billboard 200 entirely.
Much to the dismay of her dedicated fans (affectionately called #Lizzbians), the to-date nonperformance of the LP could signal the end of its accompanying era.

Barely four years after landing the highest-charting album of her career with ‘Special,’ Lizzo (born Melissa Jefferson) has been plagued by a series of commercial nonperforming music releases with the capstone coming courtesy of the ‘B*tch’ album.
Much like its preceding ‘Love in Real Life‘ and ‘My Face Hurts from Smiling‘ eras respectively, ‘B*tch’ failed to see any of its singles impact the Hot 100 – a key indicator that the tunes’ parent album was en route to a similar fate on other Billboard charts.
Once official reports surfaced the project sold less than a total of 3000 copies (that’s pure sales and streaming combined), the GRAMMY winner found herself on the receiving end of waves of ridicule.
Some diehard fans #Lizzbians took a different tack, however.
“Promote this album! It’s so good. Do not let this new album die,” pleaded one Tik Tok commenter.
The supportive remark, bolstered by a droves of likes from fellow fans, got the attention of Liz.
“I promoted my album and people on the internet clowned me for it, so I don’t know what to do,” she said. “I promoted my album super hard and people were calling me a ‘desperate flop.’ So, I don’t know guys.”
Ouch! Though seemingly discouraged by the overall negative response, it’s unclear at the time of this report of Lizzo will forge forward with promotion of the project via a tour or follow-up single to previously released cuts ‘B*tch’ (title track) and ‘Don’t Make Me Love U.’
The string of bad luck in her career follows ongoing legal drama stemming from accusations the Pop diva sexually harassed and fat-shamed some of her former employees.

I love Lizzo and I didn’t bother checking this one yet cause the rollout was so messy. If she was gonna stick with the rock sound then she should’ve kept the lite punk but still pop and uplifting vibes of Love In Real Life
if you have half an hour you should definitely check it out. it’s basically a refined version of the original album imo. but idk who decided to title it B**** and that song is actually the worst one on the entire album
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Here we go again. Lizzo, you seem to get off on humiliation. Please be like Beyonce. Learn to be mute, and to only appear in pictures and on stages.
Lizzo is a bit scattered all over the place. She should focus on building a single brand and promoting it. She doesn’t need to be a weight loss guru or a social activist. Her job is to entertain.
Reap what you sow. Sorry but she’s insufferable and a clown.
1. Fat whites bought her pop hits when she was “fat proud” and uplifting. Then decided to go Adele and her core buyers felt betrayed – suspecting her body positivity to be inauthentic.
2. She NEVER made black audiences her core base, nor has she tried to cater to them (despite black producers advising her to early on in her career).
3. Album is just NOT good. The End.
