The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul has partnered with AI music company Suno to promote its latest feature, which uses artificial intelligence to help users create and produce songs.

In the campaign, Blige is shown in the studio listening to AI-generated tracks. She admits that she wasn’t entirely sure what she was hearing at first, but said it sounded good.

Take a look:

The partnership comes as the use of AI in music continues to spark debate across the industry. Most recently, rapper Tyga faced criticism after receiving one of the lowest Pitchfork scores in years for his latest project, with much of the conversation centering around his use of AI. In response, Tyga argued that AI is simply another creative tool, comparing it to Auto-Tune.

Now, with Blige’s campaign for Suno, the conversation around artificial intelligence in music has intensified once again, as more artists explore how the technology can be incorporated into the creative process.
