Kid Cudi Defends Kanye West Reunion: "That Man is My Brother"

Kid Cudi is standing by his reunion with Kanye West, and he has plenty to say about why.

After joining his longtime collaborator onstage in Chicago, the rapper addressed Peter Rosenberg‘s criticism of those welcoming Ye back following his antisemitic conduct.

Across several posts, the Cleveland native celebrated their reconciliation and explained why he believes their friendship deserves another chance.

Responding directly to Rosenberg on September 5, Cudi acknowledged the radio host’s frustration but made his own position clear:

“I dont really care if ur disappointed in me. That man is my brother.”

In the lengthy response, he pointed to almost two decades of friendship and music-making, stressing that Rosenberg did not share the same personal relationship with West.

The ‘Day ‘n’ Nite’ performer said their recent conversations reminded him of their early bond.

He also attributed past difficulties to West’s mental health struggles and said he believed his friend was doing better.

Cudi maintained that he had challenged Ye over his behavior, adding:

“He apologized and it was sincere.”

Rosenberg’s original critique did not name Cudi, but questioned the swift embrace of West after his Nazi rhetoric.
