Tetona Jackson is heading to Genoa City.
The actress has joined ‘The Young and the Restless’ as Roxanne Barrington, taking over the role previously played by Tatyana Ali.
And the character’s comeback has been a long time coming.

According to TV Insider, Jackson will debut on the CBS soap in November.
Roxanne was introduced in 2007 and shared an on-and-off romance with Devon Winters before leaving town in 2013. Her return brings a familiar part of his romantic history back into the picture, this time with a different actress.
Ali earned three consecutive NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series during her time in the role.
Jackson, meanwhile, arrives with a résumé that includes leading roles in BET’s ‘Boomerang’ and CBS comedy ‘Poppa’s House’, plus a recurring part in ‘Good Trouble.’
The casting marks her move into daytime television and arrives as a new writing team’s material begins airing November 11.
Ali is currently competing on ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ Her original ‘Y&R’ run ended years before this recasting.
‘The Young and the Restless’ airs weekdays on CBS. An exact first airdate for Jackson has not been announced in the casting report.
