In what has to be one of the most pleasantly random collaborations we’ve seen in a minute, Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo, and Rick Ross have teamed up for new song ‘Think Like A Man’.
The hard-hitting mid-tempo is the lead release from the soundtrack to the movie of the same name (which hits theatres on March 9th).

Ne-Yo and Officer Ricky turn in solid performances, it’s the ‘Dreamgirls’ star who really shines.
For the longest, I’ve wondered what “sound” could elevate Hudson’s musical cause. Here it is.
With its lush melody, piano-driven production, and right dose of “grit”, the cut compliments the singer’s oft problematic vocal.
Indeed, as a power-belter, far too often Ms. Hudson is boxed within the “church hymns” bracket – churning out material which is both at odds with “what’s hot” and her “mainstream” positioning (see: ‘Where You At’). As such, her sales potential has yet to be realised – an issue which could quickly be confined to the past should she dabble more in sounds such as this.

Love it! Loved the JHud/Neyo pairing on his album so expected more magic from them and surprisingly the Rick Ross verse fits in with the song.
