As proven with Usher’s album, the predictions are simply based on first day sales and could very well exceed (or fall short of) the projection. However, if 400k is the minimum the young crooner is expected to sell, he will easily be able to boast 2012’s top first week sales so far.
While Adele presently holds the crown for best one week sales of 2012 (with 730k sold following her triumphant Grammy return), her triumph will not trump Bieber if the prediction holds true.

You can’t go by social media numbers they can be rigged. They reported last year that some arrtists purchased LIKES from Facebook I believe they said 10,000 likes cost $7,000!
Youtube allows certain ppl to purchase a multi-count channel that allows one person to type under 20 different assumed names in rapid secession. Can you just imagine the viewer count and how quickly it adds up is several ppl use such an account! Some acts have 500,000,000 views of 1 video in 6 months<— come on really? I have many criticisms of Bieber, chief of which is his very limited vocal abilities. However, if the boy has sold a lot this week, give him that. I listened to the album and I was surprised that at least half of it is decent with 1 or 2 songs being quite good. Ironically, many of the artistic criticism leveled at Bieber could be aimed at TGJ’s much beloved Chris Brown too.
