Despite enjoying a hefty $20 million dollar payout for her participation in ‘Idol’s’ last season, the media mogul – who took to ‘The Today Show’ today in support of her latest film ‘Ice Age: Contintental Drift’ – was quizzed on her world tour, upcoming ventures, and plans to return to the reality talent show.

Nobody was checking for her before she got on the show.
She got on Idol, got a TON of commercials and was relevant again.
Now she wants to bounce like the world is hungry for some J.Lo, her album did terribly for as much as she pushed it and outside that one song with Pitbull there was no real hits.
She needs to hop of the 20 something’s d*** and get her head right. If she leaves the show, she vanishes from public sight.

She hasn’t even reestablished a core audience yet. Some of her singles did well because they rode the tidal wave of overproduced dance music; her subsequent albums did terribly. If her music wasn’t doing all that well when she was on television every damn week, how will it do when she leaves? Well when she does, the American Idol audience won’t follow.
She should milk this “in negotiation” period as long as she can and squeeze in all her planned projects within this time because I see her future like a falling row of dominoes.
She’s so adorable. She comes across as a very relatable and down on earth person when she interviews. That said, it would be a pure catastrophe if she decided to leave ‘Idol’. She has made an amazing comeback on an international level, so she can maintain the momentum, but as far as the States are concerned, she needs the exposure to sell her music. Radio are still not eating her music up, so she needs iTunes sales and ‘Idol’ can ensure those.

I really enjoy Jennifer Lopez on Idol.
Whatever you make think of her, hate her, love her… she has a great personality for television. She makes you want to like her/want to know her.
So people will regardless hate on her. Since Steven left, I sorta think Jenny should leave too, but then I also think it is a great platform for her. So its a tricky one for me.
Regardless, I DO enjoy seeing her week after week on American Idol! ! !
