The Wesleys are back – and this time they’re taking their yuletide celebration to the Motherland!

Having already thrilled audiences with ‘A Wesley Christmas’ and ‘A Wesley Christmas Wedding’ (as we reported here), BET+ is lifting a third installment in their wildly popular original franchise: ‘A Wesley South African Christmas.’

Reuniting stars Jasmine Guy and Dorien Wilson, the latest chapter of the Wesley story – directed by Patricia Cuffie-Jones – sees the family take their shenanigans abroad after an international business venture forces a leading member to stay in Durban for the holidays.

Richard Pryor and John Candy‘s 1985 classic ‘Brewster’s Millions’ gets a yuletide revamp courtesy of the BET+ original film ‘Brewster’s Millions Christmas.’

Starring China Anne McClain as the lead character, the new holiday comedy tells the tale of a “wealthy heiress who has lost her way” and is “faced with a Christmas challenge to inherit her uncle Monty Brewster’s grandfather’s fortune: learn the true meaning of love, faith, and family by giving instead of receiving.”

Christmas is definitely coming early for fans of Mario.

As if the December 13 arrival of his long-awaited new studio album, ‘Glad You Came,’ wasn’t enough to get them excited for the yuletide season, the GRAMMY-nominated crooner is the leading star in the forthcoming BET+ holiday film ‘Style Me for Christmas.’

Also starring Raven Goodwin, Vena Excell, Sincerely Ward, and Cheryl Frazier, the heartwarming flick tells the tale of a struggling boutique owner who gets the gig of a lifetime when she’s chosen to style “Tedee Maxwell” – a handsome playboy and popular R&B singer.

With eight films on its 2024 holiday roster, the BET+ yuletide takeover kicks off with the heartwarming ‘Christmas Miracle‘ on November 7.

Boasting a cast of familiar faces like Noree Victoria, Blue Kimble, Victoria Rowell, Nadia Simms, and Aaron D. Spears, ‘Miracle’ tells the tale of a Christmas program in danger of losing funding at the local community center – a circumstance that sends a family into panic mode to save the holiday season.

As if directing the critically acclaimed BET+ original yuletide movies ‘The Christmas Clapback’ and ‘Favorite Son Christmas‘ wasn’t enough to boast, award-winning director-actress Robin Givens wrote, produced, and stars in the streamer’s forthcoming release ‘Christmas Rescue.’

Also starring Raven Goodwin, Mario Van Peebles, Samantha Trumbo, and more, the festive film tells the story of an obsessive ex who kidnaps his ex-girlfriend on the day of her holiday-inspired wedding in a desperate attempt to win her back.

BET+ continues to make the season bright with a slew of new titles for its 2023 holiday slate.

Having already warmed hearts with the yuletide-flavored films ‘A Wesley Christmas Wedding,’ ‘Christmas Angel,’ ‘Sworn Justice, ‘Christmas Ringer,’ and more, next up for rollout is ‘Never Alone for Christmas.’

Directed by Kenny Young, ‘Never’ – which stars Mignon Von, Allen Maldonado, & GRAMMY-winning Soul diva Macy Gray – follows the “misadventures of a young couple who decide to call off their wedding just as the holidays begin.” Set to face season alone, the two separately decide to attend a Christmas retreat only to find the other is there alongside a new boo. The hilarious mayhem that ensues as a result is definitely one for the books.

After rocking BET+ with 2022’s ‘A Royal Surprise,‘ lovebirds “Riley” (Jennifer Freeman) and “Mandla” (Thapelo Mokoena) return with a holiday-themed installment to the film franchise: ‘A Royal Christmas Surprise.’

One of 12 yuletide-flavored titles the streamer has unveiled for its 2023 slate, ‘Surprise’ – directed by Beautie Masvaure Alt – tells the story of how Riley and Mandla “navigate tension between the matriarchs of their respective families, planning their engagement party, and another ‘Royal Surprise’ that puts into question the couple’s entire future” (the official plotline reveals).

Mishael Morgan and Leland B. Martin lead the cast of BET+’s gripping new crime drama ‘Sworn Justice: Taken Before Christmas.’

Taking a less merry, unconventional route for a holiday film, ‘Sworn’ sees a detective and her prosecutor boyfriend find out the hard way it’s not the most wonderful time of year as they suffer a kidnapping that forces them to follow the demands of a disguised “menacing voice” for survival.

The thriller, one of 12 yuletide titles for BET+’s 2023 slate, also stars Vivica A. Fox, Preacher Lawson, and Melyssa Ford.
