Also starring Terrence “TC” Carson, Loren Lott, Terayle Hill, Valerie Pettiford, Judi Johnson, and more, the Patricia Cuffie-Jones-directed flick’s official plotline says the family “must overcome the shenanigans of a Momzilla, a few crazed exes and new family additions — some wanted, and others tolerated — before the betrothed couple says, ‘I do.'”

Nearly 20 years after bringing in laughs together on the classic 2000’s sitcom ‘The Parkers,’ award-winning actors Jasmine Guy and Dorien Wilson reunite to gift more of the same courtesy of the BET+ holiday film, ‘A Wesley Christmas.’

A yuletide comedy that sees the duo portray parents of adult siblings coming home for the holidays, the two must figure out a way to get through the Christmas gathering in light of the “hot messes” of their children’s personal and professional lives.

Directed by Patricia Cuffie-Jones, the movie sees its cast filled out with a number of familiar faces like Terrence ‘T.C.’ Carson, Terayle Hill, Kevin Savage, Loren Lott, and more.

Her wild journey through the Big Apple sees her biting off more than expected as she finds love in the most surprising place.

Also starring Kalen Allen, Wesley French, Tymika Tafari, Nikki Duval, and, of course, Pentatonix, the Rusty Cundieff-directed movie is set to hit the streamer on November 6.

BET+ continues to make the season bright with a slew of new titles for its 2023 holiday slate.

Having already warmed hearts with the yuletide-flavored films ‘A Wesley Christmas Wedding,’ ‘Christmas Angel,’ ‘Sworn Justice, ‘Christmas Ringer,’ and more, next up for rollout is ‘Never Alone for Christmas.’

Directed by Kenny Young, ‘Never’ – which stars Mignon Von, Allen Maldonado, & GRAMMY-winning Soul diva Macy Gray – follows the “misadventures of a young couple who decide to call off their wedding just as the holidays begin.” Set to face season alone, the two separately decide to attend a Christmas retreat only to find the other is there alongside a new boo. The hilarious mayhem that ensues as a result is definitely one for the books.

It’s almost time for the 54th Annual NAACP Image Awards.

Unveiling its full list of nominations today, the prestigious awards honor actors, actresses, singers, authors, and activists of color, in and out of the entertainment industry.

Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, and ‘Insecure’ lead the pack of music, film, and TV nominees.

Queen Bey and K. Dot top the music tally with 5 nominations each, while Marvel’s hotly anticipated ‘Black Panther’ sequel and the Quinta Brunson-led ‘Abbott’ amassed 12 and 9 noms in their respective fields.

Elsewhere ABC and Netflix lead in the TV and motion picture categories.

After a six month delay due to the Hollywood strikes, the 50th Annual Daytime EMMYs took place over the weekend (December 15 and December 16) at Los Angeles’ Westin Bonaventure Hotel.

Hosted by entertainment news anchors Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner, this year’s festivities were dominated by ‘General Hospital’ which swept up seven awards while ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ took home the two lead actor and actress prizes.

One of the event’s biggest talking points was easily Kelly Clarkson – the GRAMMY-winning diva who, thanks to her eponymous daytime talk show, racked up a whopping six trophies.

In celebration of 50 years of awarding excellence in daytime television programming, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the nominees for the annual Daytime Emmy Awards recently.

“In addition to this year’s many esteemed nominees, it is especially gratifying to also be celebrating so many milestones of Daytime television in our 50th anniversary year,” said Brent Stanton, Head of Daytime, NATAS. “Not only are we celebrating 50 years of Daytime Emmy® Award programming, we are also celebrating the milestones of some of its longest-running shows such as General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, Dr. Phil and Rachael Ray.”

While the 60-year-old, legendary soap opera ‘General Hospital‘ led the way with a whopping 19 nods, standout nominees also included beloved talk shows ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ (11), ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ (7), ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ (6), and ‘Sherri,’ ‘Tamron Hall,’ and ‘The View’ (4 each).

Designed to “honor media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues,” the GLAAD Media Awards is set to carry on its annual tradition as underscored by the unveiling of the official nominations list for its 33rd annual ceremony.

Announced live on GLAAD’s TikTok page Wednesday (January 19), the nominees represent LGBTQ musical and acting performers and shows as well as journalists, documentarians, and more.

“There are more nominees this year than ever before, highlighting a growing landscape of LGBTQ visibility, and serving as a reminder to the critical role that film, television, music, journalism, and other forms of media can play in growing LGBTQ acceptance in the face of ongoing attacks against our community,” said GLAAD president & CEO Sarah Kate Ellis in a statement.
