The stars literally aligned for Diddy‘s new LP ‘The Love Album: Off the Grid,’ lifted to digital platforms courtesy of the newly formed Love Records on Friday (September 15).

Studded with big names that only a mogul of his ilk could assemble, ‘Love’ – his first solo-billed project in 17 years – features The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Jazmine Sullivan, H.E.R., The Dream, Fabolous, Summer Walker, Mary J. Blige, and many others.

“Music is my first love, and music has given me a second chance at life, so stepping back into the studio to make this album has been a soulful experience that brought me closer to myself and my purpose,” Diddy said in an official press release. “This album wasn’t created to feed an algorithm or be relevant with the trends of the times — it was created to touch souls and freely express my story with the best artists, writers and producers shaping the future of R&B.”

Nearly five years after topping the Billboard 200 with his third solo studio album ‘AstroWorld,’ Hip-Hop hitmaker Travis Scott is ready to repeat with feat with its star-studded follow-up, ‘Utopia.’

The long-teased set – which features megastars like Beyoncé, Drake, Sampha, James Blake, Metro Boomin, Kanye West, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, and more across its 19 tracks – arrives as a surprise drop despite promises to fans they would see some of its content performed live at the Pyramids of Giza (an endeavor rescheduled due to ‘complex production issues’).

Delivered ahead of ‘Circus Maximus,’ a film co-directed by Scott alongside Kahlil Joseph, Harmony Korine, Gaspar Noe, Nicolas Winding Refn, and Valdimar Jóhannsson, ‘Utopia’ comes as the rapper’s first full-length musical project since the tragic ‘AstroWorld’ festival that claimed multiple lives and caused injuries to several attendees in 2021.  While Travis was never indicted on criminal charges for the incident, he is still facing multiple lawsuits.

The Weeknd may have fielded mixed reviews for his performance in season 1 of the hit HBO drama, ‘The Idol,‘ but the music that’s been lifted from the series has been consistently greeted with fanfare.

As if scoring serious thumbs up for previous releases ‘Family,’ ‘Lesser Man,’ ‘Take Me Back,’ and the global R&B smash hit ‘Popular‘ (featuring Queen of Pop Madonna and Playboi Carti) wasn’t enough, the Canadian hitmaker (born Abel Tesfaye) is hoping for more of the same in response to the last three songs lifted from the show – ‘Like a God,’ ‘False Idols,’ and ‘Dollhouse.’

While ‘God’ and ‘Idols’ (featuring Suzanna Son and Rap star Lil Baby) were produced with Mike Dean, ‘Dollhouse’ features Tesfaye’s ‘Idol’ co-star Lily-Rose Depp.

All three could be heard on the season finale of ‘The Idol’ (which aired on July 2) and streamed inside.

Queen of Pop Madonna seems to be full of surprises lately.

Though busy putting the final touches on her highly anticipated ‘Celebration World Tour’ ahead of its July 15 kick off, the 64-year-old still managed to find time to guest star on the new releases of not one but TWO high-profile music stars.

Days after announcing she joined forces with Pop star Sam Smith for the forthcoming tune ‘Vulgar,’ reports surfaced the Material Girl had new material with The Weeknd for the soundtrack of his HBO series,The Idol.’

Titled ‘Popular,’ the latter cut also features GRAMMY-nominated rapper Playboi Carti.

“I know that you see me, time’s gone by / Spent my whole life runnin’ from your flashin’ lights / Try to own it, but I’m alright / You can’t take my soul without a f-cking fight,” she croons on the Metro Boomin-produced cut.

Ahead of the June 4 premiere of The Weeknd‘s forthcoming HBO drama series, ‘The Idol,‘ the Pop megastar (born Abel Tesfaye) lifts the lid on music that is set to line the show’s official soundtrack.

The first taste of such comes courtesy of ‘Double Fantasy’ – a reunion of sorts of Tesfaye and his ‘Low Life‘ co-star Future.

“Temperature risin’, bodies united / Now that I trapped you in my arms / No need to fight it, no need to hide it / Now that I see what’s in your heart / Baby girl, I’m the only one who knows this side of you,” Abel croons on the Mike Dean-produced cut.

Just days after the song got an unofficial debut during Metro Boomin‘s set at Coachella (April 14), music lovers are being introduced to its recorded version.

Having already secured the first Hot 100 top 5 placement of his career with The Weeknd and 21 Savage-assisted track, ‘Creepin,’ producer extraordinaire Metro Boomin is hoping the hit song will creep to #1 with its official remix.

Calling on music mogul Diddy (born Sean Combs) to contribute his unmistakable flair to the ‘Heroes & Villains’ track, the addition comes as an apt one as ‘Creepin’ samples Mario Winans‘ 2004 signature hit ‘I Don’t Wanna Know’ (which was released on Combs’ Bad Boy label and features his vocals).

“They ain’t real and they ain’t Puff / Ain’t a place in this world that my feet ain’t touch,” the 53-year-old spits on the ‘Creepin’ revamp. “I got visions that cost millions and make billions / Baby girl, we can make love and make trillions.”
